BROTHER MFC-4350 DRUM

The drum unit installed in your Brother MFC-4350 is a consumable component, which must be replaced before its complete exhaustion, in order to be avoided print quality issues. The approx. maximal prints number of the drum unit is 12000 pages with 5% coverage, but please be aware that the number will vary, because it is defined by various factors, such as the used print settings, the type of the used paper, the temperature, humidity, etc... Therefore, your multifunctional printer is equipped with a precise built-in system, which is constantly monitoring the work condition of the installed drum unit. Once the monitoring system detects that the installed drum unit is at the end of its useful life, it will notify you with the following message/advance notification ''CHANGE DRUM SOON'', which will be displayed on the control LCD of your laser printer. You should replace the installed drum unit soon after the initial appearance of the described system warning. Please note that the installed drum unit must be replaced, if there are constantly reappearing print quality issues, even if there is no indication from the built-in monitoring system.

You must start the drum unit replacement procedure by opening the top cover of your Brother MFC-4350, but please be aware that some inner printer's components will be hot. Then, you must grab the exhausted drum unit and pull it out of the laser printer. After that, you must detach the toner cartridge from the exhausted drum unit by turning its colored lock lever counterclockwise until it stops, and then pull the cartridge out of the exhausted consumable component. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must take the new drum unit out of the protective aluminum bag, and then shake it 8-10 times horizontally, but please do not remove the plastic starter sheet (it will be automatically ejected during the initializing procedure). Now, you must align and insert the toner cartridge into the new drum unit, and then lock the cartridge into place by turning its colored lock lever clockwise until it stops. Finally, you must insert the prepared new drum unit into the printer, and then close the top cover.
