When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Canon FaxPhone L100 Fax Machine?

The Canon FaxPhone L100 Fax Machine can print up to 2,000 pages at 5% coverage with a new, standard-capacity toner cartridge. You can check the amount of toner remaining in the installed toner cartridge by pressing the [Status/Cancel] button and then selecting [Device Status] – [Remaining Toner]. You should replace the installed toner cartridge if any of the listed messages and print quality problems appears.

[Cart. Parts life end. Replcmnt. Recommended.] – You should remove the toner cartridge from the fax machine, and then reinstall it. Please replace the installed toner cartridge if the error message is displayed after the reinstallation.

[Prepare toner cartridge.] – The Canon FaxPhone L100 Fax Machine has detected that the toner level is low. You should replace the installed toner cartridge soon in order to be avoided print quality problems and printing delays.

[Cartridge replacement is needed soon.] – The installed toner cartridge is nearly empty and will have to be replaced soon. You must make sure that you have a replacement toner cartridge in stock.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Canon FaxPhone L100 Fax Machine

In the first step of the replacement procedure, you must open the operation panel, and then open the cover of the toner cartridge slot. After that, you must pull the exhausted toner cartridge out of the Canon FaxPhone L100 Fax Machine, and then remove the replacement component from the protective bag. Now, you must loosen the toner by shaking the new cartridge at least ten times from side to side, and then remove the 20 inches long sealing tape from the new component. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must align the new toner cartridge with the guides of the slot, and then insert it as far as it will go. Finally, you must close the cover of the toner cartridge slot, and then close the operation panel of your Canon FaxPhone L100 Fax Machine.
