The toner cartridge installed in your Canon FAXPHONE L120 is a user-replaceable component. A new toner cartridge lasts approx. 2,000 pages at 5% coverage. Please note that you can extend the useful life of the installed toner cartridge up to 50% by enabling the Toner Saver feature. You should replace the installed toner cartridge in the following circumstances:

The error message [NO TONER CARTRIDGE <> PUT IN CARTRIDGE] is displayed – The toner cartridge is defective or not installed. You must make sure that the toner cartridge is installed correctly. Please install a new toner cartridge if the problem persists.

The status message [TONER IS OUT <> CHANGE TONER] is displayed – The installed toner cartridge is empty. All print/copy operations are disabled in this situation. Please install a new toner cartridge in your Canon FAXPHONE L120.

Pros:

This unit offers you two important functions in a single unit. If you don’t need copying capabilities this unit is right for you. The Canon FaxPhone L120 can copy, but don’t expect high quality copies.
With this unit, you will get faxes printed at laser quality, for much better quality than a typical fax machine. This unit is a full-featured fax machine. It offers speed dialing and a 340 page memory. There is also a 30-sheet automatic document feeder.
When it comes to printing, you get a quality Canon laser printer. Text is above average and graphics are good as well. Output speeds are 12 pages per minute.
This unit is an outstanding choice if your need a printer with fax capabilities. Some people may prefer to go with a multifunctional device, but this unit is a lot less expensive.

Cons:

One drawback is that toner cartridges for this unit only yield 2,000 pages. As a result this unit is only good for home printing. It also lacks color printing which may be a major stumbling block.
