When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Canon ImageCLASS D861 Laser Printer?

To install a new toner cartridge in your Canon ImageCLASS D861 Laser Printer, you must pull the release lever of the platen unit towards you, and then slide the platen unit to the left until the stop mark appears. After that, you must open the cover of the toner cartridge compartment, and then pull the exhausted toner cartridge out of the main unit. Now, you must take the new toner cartridge out of the protective bag, and then shake it at least ten times up and down to loosen the toner. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove the sealing tape from the new toner cartridge, and then slide the new component along the guides inside the compartment until it snaps into place. Finally, you must close the cover of the toner cartridge compartment, and then slide the platen unit to the right until it locks into place.
