Clearing Jams with the Canon Copier ImageClass MF3110

In order to clear any paper jam you need to first open the front cover. Your next step is to take out the cartridge. Then open the face up cover (A) and push down the green paper release levers (B) on both sides of the face up paper output. Then take both sides of the jammed paper and carefully move it inward, then gently take it out. Now carefully take the jammed paper out of the machine. Carefully pull the jammed paper out through the rollers until the leading edge emerges from the machine. Carefully pull the jammed paper straight out through the rollers. Then shut the front cover and pull out the cassette completely. Take the jammed paper and slowly pull it out in the direction of the arrow.

LCD Messages on the Canon Copier ImageClass MF3110

One message that you may come across is Adjusting Waiting to Scan. This is caused by the machine not being ready to print since you just connect the power cord. Just wait a few minutes and the copier will work.

Check Paper Size is another message you may see on the screen. Users will see this message when the paper in the feeder is different from the paper specified in PAPER SETTINGS on the menu. Overview: The Canon ImageClass MF3110 is an excellent personal desktop printer and scanner. However it doesnât include a fax machine. This machine also doesnât come with an automatic document feeder (ADF). As a result you are not able to quickly copy multiple page documents while you drink your morning coffee. However at a price of under $250, you have to love all that it offers. Text prints with the Canon ImageClass MF3110 are of good quality however they do show minor defects. Graphics printed with this copier are also good, but do show a grainy appearance. Color as well as black and white scans are average since they are somewhat faint.

Pros: The MF3110 is easy to use and designed with you in mind. Everything is straightforward and labeled. Plus it will help save energy. You can program the printer to become inactive if it is not being used from 3 minutes to 30 minutes. Owners of the printer love how simple scanning is. You get sophisticated drivers and an array of software that anyone can use. To scan simply put you document on the glass and select scan and then hit start on the control panel. Then you will see programs on your screen that will allow you to alter your scanned images. It is also easy to add paper to the main tray. The machine lacks complicated functions like duplexing or networking. Plus it comes with a USB cable that can be used with its USB 2.0 port.

Cons: This printer can only be used with Windows. Plus its scan quality is not of the highest standards. Finally it doesnât not offer fax capabilities and networking capacities.
