The Canon MF5530 is an outstanding office printer. It comes with many outstanding features. One of its major drawbacks is its lack of color printing.

Pros:

The Canon imageClass MF5530 can print, scan, and copy. The unit is easy to setup and it can easily be taken out of the box. It features a flatbed scanning surface as well as an automatic document feeder with a capacity of 50 sheets. The unit can scan many pages at once. The scanner is capable of color scanning, despite the printer being monochrome-only.

This unit combines the toner and drum into one unit, meaning that the Canon MF5530 toner cartridge is the only consumable to ever need replacing. Each toner cartridge can yield 2,500 pages.
Print quality is a mixed page. Text is sharp and easily readable at smaller fonts. However graphics could be better. The imageClass MF5530 prints 19 pages per minute.

Overall, the Canon MF5530 is a solid multifunction laser printer for the home or small office. Consumables for it are reasonably priced and it produces text that is of high quality.

Cons:

Paper capacity is limited with the imageClass MF5530 since it only has a 250 page paper tray. It also lacks a multipurpose tray for printing alternative paper sizes.
