When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Canon LaserCLASS 9000?

The toner cartridge installed in your Canon LaserCLASS 9000 has a lifespan of approx. 3000 prints at 5% page coverage. The toner cartridge contains both the photosensitive drum and the toner. Therefore, the overall print-quality results achieved by your Canon LaserCLASS 9000 are directly related to the technical condition of the installed toner cartridge. You must install a new toner cartridge, if:

The print quality is unsatisfactory

‘’CHECK PRINTER COVER’’ is displayed, but all covers are firmly closed – You must make sure that the toner cartridge is installed in accordance with the installation instructions given further below. A new toner cartridge must be installed, if the message is still displayed after the correct reinstallation.

‘’RECEIVED IN MEMORY’’ is displayed – The Canon LaserCLASS 9000 has run out of paper, or the installed toner cartridge has been exhausted.

‘’REPLACE CARTRIDGE’’ is displayed – The installed toner cartridge is empty. You must install a new toner cartridge. The complete replacement procedure is included below.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Canon LaserCLASS 9000

Initially, you must open the front cover of your Canon LaserCLASS 9000 by pulling its releasing lever upwards, and then pull the empty toner cartridge towards you to remove it from the main unit. Next, you must unpack the new toner cartridge, and then redistribute the toner by shaking the cartridge 7-8 times vertically. Please do not touch the protective shutter on the bottom of the new toner cartridge. After that, you must remove the sealing tape by pulling its plastic tab away from the new toner cartridge, and then insert the new toner cartridge into the machine, but please make sure that the arrow stamped on the cartridge is pointing towards the machine. Finally, you must close the front cover of your Canon LaserCLASS 9000.

Pros:

This all-in-one multifunctional device gets the job done. Toner cartridges are affordable. Print quality is excellent. Text documents printed with it are sharp and easy to read at 4 point fonts.

The Canon LaserClass 9000 is reliable and gets the job done time and again. Rarely will you have to deal with maintenance issues when owning it.

Cons:

The Canon LaserClass 9000 can only print 8 pages per minute. Another drawback is that it lacks finishing features that will save you time when printing.
