This Toner Cartridge prints 2500 pages with an average 5% page coverage. The amount of pages can vary depending upon the amount of ink printed onto each page. (5% page coverage is a standard Canon specification)

When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Canon LBP-1120 (Laser Beam Printer 1120 LASER SHOT)?

The EP-22 toner cartridge installed in your Canon LBP-1120 prints up to 2,500 A4 or letter size pages at 5% print coverage (equals 4% dot ratio). Please note that the lifespan of the installed toner cartridge will be noticeably shorter, if you print mainly large format documents, graphics, bold texts, etc… You should install a new toner cartridge, if:

Each new copy/printout has vertical white streaks – This print-quality issue indicates a nearly empty toner cartridge. Herein, you must install a new toner cartridge.

Copies/printouts are too light – You must make sure that a correct toner density value has been selected. A new toner cartridge must be installed, if the problem persists.

‘’Check Toner Cartridge’’ is displayed – Your Canon LBP-1120 cannot detect an installed toner cartridge. You must make sure that the toner cartridge is firmly inserted into the slot. Please install a new toner cartridge, if the problem persists. The complete replacement procedure is included below.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Canon LBP-1120 (Laser Beam Printer 1120 LASER SHOT)

Initially, you must open the front cover of your Canon LBP-1120, and then lift the empty toner cartridge out of the main unit. After that, you must unpack the new toner cartridge, and then shake it several times from side to side to redistribute the toner. Now, you must remove the sealing tape by pulling its plastic tab straight out of the new toner cartridge. Once the new toner cartridge is prepared, you must slide it along the guides of the printer until it is firmly inserted, and then close the front cover. In the next step, you must load letter or A4-size paper in the multi-purpose tray, and then start the computer, which is connected to the laser printer. After that, you must click on the [Status Window] icon, and then select [Options] – [Cleaning]. Finally, you must wait until the cleaning procedure is completed, and then test your Canon LBP-1120.

The Canon LBP-1120 is an affordable laser printer. However it lacks color printing capabilities. It measures 14.3x12.1x9.1 inches and won’t take up a lot of space in your office. If you do a lot of printing, you will want to purchase a faster printer. It only produces 10 pages per minute. The price of consumables for the Canon LBP-1120 is extremely low.

Pros:

The Canon LBP-1120 offers outstanding output. With it you get print resolutions of 600 X 600 dpi. Text documents are sharp and easy to read. There are no visible signs of feathering.

Toner cartridges are easy to replace. They yield up to 2,500 pages and result in quality output. Toner cartridges come in both genuine OEM versions and remanufactured versions. They cost less than OEM cartridges.

The Canon LBP-1120 can print on many different media types. It can print on envelopes, post cards, plain paper, and transparencies. The Canon LBP-1120 can print on paper up to 8.5x14 inches.

Cons:

One negative aspect of the Canon LBP-1120 is that the input tray can only handle 125 sheets. It also lacks faxing capabilities. Not to mention that it jams more often than you would like.
