Product Description
Canon MultiPass L6000 Toner Cartridge - 2,700Pages

This Toner Cartridge prints 2700 pages with an average 5% page coverage. The amount of pages can vary depending upon the amount of ink printed onto each page. (5% page coverage is a standard Canon specification)

This product comes with a 6 month Warranty against any defects (including free replacement). We stand behind our products 100%, as these are not manufactured by Canon.

Why toner? Why not call it ink? Regular ink dries quickly, which is why cartridges for inkjet printers do not last long. Laser Printers use toner, which is ink in the form of powder. A sealed toner cartridge can be stored for 2+ years prior to usage.

Product Manuals
When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Canon MultiPASS L6000?
The toner cartridge is an important consumable component, which contains the photosensitive drum and the toner. The lifespan of the toner cartridge is approx. 2,700 pages at 5% coverage. You must replace the installed toner cartridge, when:

‘’CHANGE CARTRIDGE’’ appears on the control LCD – This warning message indicates that the installed toner cartridge is nearly empty. You should install a new toner cartridge. Otherwise, all print/copy operations will be suspended very soon.

‘’CHECK COVER/CART’’ – Usually, this message indicates an incorrect installation of the toner cartridge. Therefore, you must make sure that the toner cartridge is installed in accordance with the instructions given further below. Please install a new toner cartridge, if the message is still displayed after the correct reinstallation.

‘’CHECK PRINTER’’ – The built-in monitoring system of your Canon MultiPASS L6000 has detected a hardware error with a component of the installed toner cartridge. You should try to resolve the problem by reinstalling the toner cartridge. The toner cartridge must be replaced, if the problem persists.

‘’REC`D IN MEMORY’’ – Your Canon MultiPASS L6000 cannot print the received document because it is out of paper or toner. Herein, you should load paper in the cassette, and check the toner level.

Printed documents have vertical white lines – This is an indication of a low toner level. You should install a new toner cartridge.

Faxes do not print – You must make sure that the toner cartridge is installed correctly. Please install a new toner cartridge, if the problem persists.
How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Canon MultiPASS L6000
In the first step of the installation, you must unpack the new toner cartridge, and then shake it several times from side to side to ensure an optimal toner distribution. After that, you must remove the sealing tape by pulling its plastic tab away from the new toner cartridge, and open the front cover of your Canon MultiPASS L6000. Now, you must pull the used toner cartridge out of the main unit, and then align the rails of the new toner cartridge with the guides of the slot. Once the new toner cartridge is correctly aligned, you must slide it into position, and then gently press its handle towards the main unit. Finally, you must close the front cover.

Canon MultiPass L6000 Printer Review

Overview:

The Canon MultiPass L6000 has a lot to offer and is affordable. With a wide range of features you will love it. However print speeds are slow.

Pros:

The Canon MultiPass L6000 can print, scan, copy, and fax, as well as send faxes directly from a PC. However it doesn’t come with a flatbed scanner, limiting its use as a copy machine and scanner. As a result odd sized documents cannot be copied or scanned.

One of its best features is faxing. The Canon MultiPass L6000 comes with a 122 page memory capacity for storing incoming faxes when the unit is out of paper.

Toner cartridges are easy to replace and won’t cost you a lot. Each Canon L6000 toner cartridge has a capacity of 2,700 pages.

Overall, the Canon L6000 is an affordable printer that doesn’t offer the speeds and quality of more expensive machines. Anyone looking for an inexpensive home printer will love the Canon MultiPass L 6000.

Cons:

Fax transmission speeds with the Canon MultiPass L6000 are slow at 14.4kbps which is slower than most units. This printer falls behind the competition when it comes to print speeds. It only produces six pages per minute. Furthermore the quality of graphics produced by the Canon MultiPass L6000 is below average.
