This Toner Cartridge prints 4000 pages with an average 5% page coverage. The amount of pages can vary depending upon the amount of ink printed onto each page. (5% page coverage is a standard Canon specification)

Why toner? Why not call it ink? Regular ink dries quickly, which is why cartridges for inkjet printers do not last long. Laser Printers use toner, which is ink in the form of powder. A sealed toner cartridge can be stored for 2+ years prior to usage.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Canon PC745

Initially, you must raise the upper section of your Canon PC745, and then pull the exhausted toner cartridge out of the copier. After that, you must take the new toner cartridge out of the protective bag, and then shake it several times from side to side to loosen the toner. Now, you must remove the shutter seal from the new toner cartridge, and then slide the new cartridge along the guides inside the main unit as far as it will go. Finally, you must close the upper section of your Canon PC745.

The Canon PC-745 is a standalone personal copy machine and does not offer the capability to add a scanner or fax. It is capable of making direct analog copies. The Canon PC-745 is affordable to operate and won’t require many repairs.

Pros:

The Canon PC-745 comes with a 250-sheet front-loading cassette and a single sheet bypass tray. Some of its top features are automatic exposure and zoom capability. It can produce copies on a variety of materials such as business cards, letterhead, and transparencies.

It uses Canon’s Single Cartridge System in which everything is combined into a single cartridge. The toner, drum, and development unit come in one single cartridge. With it you also get a 250-sheet front-loading paper cassette and a single-sheet manual bypass.

The Canon PC-745 is Energy Star compliant and will cut down on wasted paper in toner. There is a Save Toner mode that will help to reduce the amount of toner you use.

Not only do you get fast printing with the Canon PC-745, the first copy comes out in no time thanks to Canon’s RAPID Fusing System. It delivers high-quality copies instantly with no warm-up time and no waiting.

With the Canon-PC-745 you can zoom between 70% and 141%. This will allow you to reduce or enlarge copies. It can be used to copy legal sized document as well.

The Canon-PC 745 also provides automatic exposure that is great for producing photographs, magazines, and newspapers.

Cons:

The biggest drawback of the Canon PC-745 is that it doesn’t offer scanning and faxing capabilities. Simply, the Canon PC-745 is obsolete. However it is durable and offers affordable printing.
