When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Samsung CLP-600 Color Laser Printer?
You can check the status of the toner cartridges installed in your Samsung CLP-600 Color Laser Printer from the [Maintenance] menu of the control panel. You should replace the installed toner cartridges in the following circumstances:

The [ Toner] LED is on – The indicated toner cartridge is empty and must be replaced.

The [ Toner] LED flashes – The indicated toner cartridge is nearly empty and will have to be replaced soon. Please make sure that you have a new toner cartridge set in stock.

Printouts are faded

Dropouts appear

Vertical lines

Color or black background

Vertical repetitive defects

Solid color or black printouts

Loose toner

Horizontal stripes

The message [ Toner Empty] is displayed – The Samsung CLP-600 Color Laser Printer cannot print or copy because the indicated toner cartridge is empty. Printing will not continue until a new toner cartridge of the specified color is installed.

[Install Toner] – The specified toner cartridge is missing, incorrectly installed or defective. You should reinstall the specified toner cartridge, and then test the Samsung CLP-600 Color Laser Printer. Please replace the indicated toner cartridge if the problem persists.

[Invalid Toner ] – This error message indicates that the specified toner cartridge is intended for use in a different printer model. You must install a new, compatible toner cartridge.

[Low Density] – The Samsung CLP-600 Color Laser Printer cannot maintain optimal print density because two or more installed toner cartridges are nearly empty. You should replace all nearly empty toner cartridges in order to be avoided print quality problems.

When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Samsung CLP-600 Color Laser Printer?[Ready Low Toner] – The Samsung CLP-600 Color Laser Printer is ready to print, but the toner is running low. Please make sure that you have a new set of toner cartridges in stock.

[Replace Toner] – The indicated toner cartridge is at the end of its useful life. You must replace the indicated toner cartridge.
How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Samsung CLP-600 Color Laser Printer
In the first step of the replacement procedure, you must turn the Samsung CLP-600 Color Laser Printer off, and then wait 5-6 minutes for the machine to cool. After that, you must open the right door by pulling its handle away from the main unit, and then pull the exhausted toner cartridge out of the compartment. Now, you must take the new toner cartridge out of the plastic bag, and then shake it 7-8 times vertically to redistribute the toner. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove the paper covering the new toner cartridge, and then slide the new component into the corresponding slot as far as it will go. Finally, you must close the right door, and then turn the Samsung CLP-600 Color Laser Printer on.

Overview:

The Samsung CLP-600 color laser printer offers quality printing. Input paper capacity is 350 sheets. Paper handling is good for a small office or workgroup. However it is rather limited for medium to large offices.


Pros:

It would be difficult to find a printer that offers more for the money than the Samsung CLP-600. Text quality is outstanding. Text is easily readable at smaller fonts. Input paper capacity is 350 sheets, around 100 sheets more than a typical model in this class.

Color cartridges for this unit yield around 2,100 pages. High capacity cartridges yield around 4,100 pages. The cost per page of printing with the Samsung CLP-600 is extremely low.

This unit measures 17.9 inches by 18.3 inches by 18.3 inches (HWD) and weighs 63 pounds. The Samsung CLP-600 offers print speeds of 20 pages per minute. Text quality is excellent and you won’t see any signs of distortions. Color images are above average and show no signs of dithering.


The Samsung CLP-600 offers fast printing speeds at an affordable price. Consumables for this unit are not expensive either.


Cons:

One drawback of the Samsung CLP-600 is that it lacks finishing features. On top of that paper handling capabilities are limited with this unit. This printer is also loud, making it difficult to get work done while it is running.
