Toner Cartridge - Dell 1135N Laser Printer (2500 Pages)
  OVER 100

Price:  $24.89
Product Description
Toner Cartridge for Dell 1135N Laser Printer

This Toner Cartridge prints 2500 pages with an average 5% page coverage. The amount of pages can vary depending upon the amount of ink printed onto each page. (5% page coverage is a standard Dell specification)

This product comes with a 6 month Warranty against any defects (including free replacement). We stand behind our products 100%, as these are not manufactured by Dell.

Why toner? Why not call it ink? Regular ink dries quickly, which is why cartridges for inkjet printers do not last long. Laser Printers use toner, which is ink in the form of powder. A sealed toner cartridge can be stored for 2+ years prior to usage.

Dell 1135N Review

With a very extensive control panel and slim design, the Dell 1135N is a great little multifunctional monochrome unit for the personal user and is also equipped with standard networking, making it a great choice for the small office just as well as the home or individual user.

Its affordable price makes the Dell 1135N very attractive to the individual who wishes to incorporate quite a large variety of functions into their office hardware set at a low cost. The device is similar in a lot of ways to the familiar Brother MFC-7840W, and yet runs at a cost of about a hundred dollars less. The unit, like the Brother competitor, can not only print over a network but scan over one as well, making it an option for those primarily dealing with an Ethernet setup.

The device’s automatic document feeder holds up to 40 pages, making it one of the larger ADFs in the unit’s category. Its standard paper tray is also sufficient at 250 sheets, though expansion options are very limited.

The duty cycle of the Dell 1135N, like other Dell personal printers, is high at 12,000 pages per month. Dell recommends much less duty per month to maintain maximum lifespan of the printer, but it is still good to know that it can handle quite a bit of abuse in stride.

Accompanying the device’s 250 sheet paper tray is a single sheet multipurpose slot that is perfect for submitting special media types into the device that cannot otherwise be printed to through standard means. With the multipurpose slot, users can insert envelopes, transparencies, and card stock one sheet at a time and these items can then travel through the unit’s convenient straight through paper path to avoid creases and folding of the thicker media.

With a corded Ethernet connection ready to go out of box, the Dell 1135N is fully networkable. Also notable is its exceptional optical scan resolution of 1200 x 1200 dots per inch that allows very high quality, full color scanning to be done quickly without the need for interpolation.

The Dell 1135N machine does not include a duplexer as standard material, but it also does not even leave the option open with an external duplexer available for separate purchase. The unit’s print speed of 23 pages per minute places it fairly low on the totem pole for performance alone, and even its competitors in the same price range are often seen easily outperforming it. At this rate, it just slightly underperforms the Brother unit of similar specs, though it does ultimately outdo the Okidata machine that came out at a similar time with a similar price.

Another area where the Dell 1135N vastly underperforms its Brother counterpart is in overall cost per page. This costly unit runs at a rate of about 3.5 cents per page (at the time of its release) whereas the Brother 7840 breaks the 3 cent mark easily at 2.7 cents. In the long run, this unit will end up costing considerably more to operate than other units available.
