HP DESKJET 960CSE HIGH YIELD BLACK INK CARTRIDGE

Your HP DeskJet 960cse Printer is equipped with an ink-cartridge status LED and an ink cartridge indicator. The ink-cartridge status LED is located on the control panel, above the [Cancel Job] key. The ink-cartridge status LED flashes when an ink cartridge related abnormality is detected. You can obtain more detailed information about the detected abnormality by checking the ink cartridge indicator, which is located on the top side of the cartridge carousel. Please note that the ink cartridge indicator illustrates a yellow arrow, which will be pointing to one of the five icons on the top side of the main printer compartment, when a cartridge problem occurs. All indications of ink cartridge related abnormalities are listed and explained below.

The ink-cartridge status LED is flashing and the ink cartridge indicator is pointing towards the first (left – right) icon – Your HP DeskJet 960cse Printer has detected an error with the installed Tri-color ink cartridge. You must make sure that the Tri-color ink cartridge is correctly installed. A new Tri-color ink cartridge must be installed, if the issue persists.

The ink-cartridge status LED is flashing and the ink cartridge indicator is pointing towards the second icon – All print/copy operations have been disabled due to a problem with the installed Black ink cartridge. You must make sure that the Black ink cartridge is firmly inserted into the corresponding slot of the carousel. The Black ink cartridge will have to be replaced, if the problem persists.

The ink-cartridge status LED is flashing and the ink cartridge indicator is pointing towards the third icon – The installed Tri-color ink cartridge is near the end of its useful life. To avoid print quality issues, you should install a new Tri-color ink cartridge soon after the initial appearance of the signal.

The ink-cartridge status LED is flashing and the ink cartridge indicator is pointing towards the fourth icon – The installed Black ink cartridge is nearly empty. You should install a new Black ink cartridge as soon as possible.

Please note that you can check the current ink levels at any time from the [Ink Level] panel of the HP DeskJet Utility. It is recommended that you keep a new set of ink cartridges for your HP DeskJet 960cse Printer in stock, but please store these consumable components in their sealed packages at room temperature (60-78 degrees F; 15,6-26,6 degrees C). You should follow the detailed instructions given below to install a new ink cartridge in your HP DeskJet 960cse Printer.

In the first step of the installation, you must make sure the HP DeskJet 960cse Printer is turned on and its output tray is down. Then, you must open the top cover and wait until the cradle stops moving. After that, you must lift the latch that is securing the empty ink cartridge to the cradle, and then remove the empty cartridge by pulling it towards you at an angle of approx. 45 degrees. Now, you must unpack the new ink cartridge, but make sure that the color matches, and then remove the protective vinyl tape. Please do not touch the ink nozzles or the copper contacts of the new ink cartridge, in order to be avoided future print quality problems. In the following step of the installation, you must slide the new ink cartridge into the corresponding slot of the cradle, and then push the new component towards the rear side of the inkjet printer to seat it firmly into place. Next, you must push the slot latch down until it snaps into place, and then close the top cover. Finally, you must wait for the automatic calibration procedure to be completely executed, and then test your HP DeskJet 960cse Printer.
