This color laser document handling center can pump out some impressive print speeds, as well as accept a significant number of hardware add ons, making it a fully customizable piece of machinery that is sure to suit any set of color printing demands.

Pros:

The Toshiba E-Studio 3510C’s standard paper capacity consists of two 550 sheet trays as well as a 100 sheet bypass drawer. This means that its stock paper capacity totals 1,200 sheets, but users who require even more storage space will not be disappointed. A3 paper can be printed in full color at a rate of about 18 pages per minute, while black and white large format printing gets a small but significant boost in speed up to 24 pages per minute.

An 80 GB hard disk is included as a standard feature in the Toshiba E-Studio 3510C hardware which allows for e-filing. Up to 1,000 department codes and 10,000 user codes can be programmed into the machine for an unprecedented amount of security when it comes to e-filing and printing, though a communal public folder is also always present. Scanned data can be stored in the unit’s e-filing system and internal data can also be managed remotely from a connected PC.

Cons:

The Toshiba E-Studio 3510C is not inexpensive to own and operate. As is true with all color laser printers, this device is far from cheap and, while its black and white cost per page is actually relatively low, color prints will cost quite a bit to produce. This is due to a high cost of consumables paired with a very heft overhead price that make the Toshiba E-Studio 3510C unsuitable for the bargain hunters out there.

The Toshiba E-Studio 3510C’s optical scan resolution is a little disappointing at only 600 x 600 dots per inch. For a printer that is capable of producing a wide variety of quality, full color output, it would be nice to see its color copying abilities maintain a level of prestige. Black and white copies can be done with an enhanced smoothing mode that will simulate 2400 x 600 dots per inch, but this is not an option when copying in full color.
