How to Clean the Kyocera FS-C5015n Printer

The first step when cleaning your Kyocera FS-C5015n printer is to open the left cover. Then clean the main charger wire. Grasp the green wire cleaner knob and carefully pull the wire cleaner knob out and put it back in. Do this several times. The third step is to clean the main charger grid. Remove the grid cleaner from the toner kit. Also take the grid cleaner out of the bag and take off the cap. Then lift up on the main charger unit and pull it out slowly. Now attach the grid cleaner to the printer with the pad facing up. Then pull the main charger handle out and push it back in. Do this several times so that the grid is clean. When finished cleaning, you put the main charger unit in the home position. Next remove the grid cleaner from the printer and discard it.

How to Replace the Waste Toner Box in the Kyocera FS-C5015n Printer

Replacing the waste toner box can be accomplished by following these easy steps. The first step is to open the left cover of the printer. Then hold the waste toner box and press the lock lever while gently removing the waste toner box. Now carefully close the cap on the old waste toner box after it has been taken out of the printer. In order to prevent toner from spilling, place the old waste toner box in the plastic bag and discard it. Next open the new waste toner box. Now insert the new waste toner box and snap it into place. Check that the waste toner box has been inserted correctly and close the left cover.

How to Replace the Toner Cartridge in the Kyocera FS-C5015n Printer

To begin replacing the toner container open the top of the printer. Next pull the blue lock lever on the toner container forward until it is unlocked. Then carefully remove the old toner container from the printer. Next place the old toner container in the plastic bag and dispose of it according to laws where you live. Now it is time to remove the new toner container from the toner kit. After it has been taken out of the kit, shake it several times. Then set the new toner container in the printer and push down on it until it locks in place. The next step is to pull the blue lock lever on the toner container back towards the locked symbol as far as it will go. Finally close the top cover.

Overview:

Kyocera printers continue to increase in quality while having decreased in price. Plus they continue to become more efficient year after year. The FS-C5015N is one of Kyocera’s more modest models, but it still boasts outstanding specifications. It prints 16 prints per minute and comes with 128MB of RAM. Its internal software is powered by a 400MHz PowerPC processor.

Pros: Even though the Kyocera FS-C5015n may be expensive it offers low cost printing. Its toner cartridges are affordable and yield 6,000 pages which is more than most of its competitors. It comes with a lot of features as well. Its LCD panel allows you to easily set it and there is a web server that comes with it as well. The LCD panel allows you to monitor how much toner is left, it can also be used to send email alerts when supplies are low. Plus it comes with a two-year warranty which makes it an outstanding buy for the value coconscious customer. The FS-C5015N offers the cheapest color printing on the market. It has a few flaws, but it canât be beat for the price and speed. If Kyocera can just improve the print quality of this model, it will be hard to beat.

Cons: The thing that most people donât like about the FS-C5015N is the quality of its color prints. Often photos printed using this device are very grainy. Not to mention that compared to similarly priced printers it doesnât offer great text printing either. However the average user wonât probably realize the difference in text with the FS-C5015N and similar printers.
