How to Connect to Your Kyocera FS-C5020n Printer
First connect the printer to the computer. Next connect the power cord to an outlet. Turn on the power switch on the printer which is located on the left side of the FS-C5020n. Then set the color registration.
Troubleshooting Error Messages From the Kyocera FS-C5020n Printer
When using the Kyocera FS-C5020n you may see an error message that says Clean printer press Go. This issue can be dealt with by cleaning the inside of the printer. You will see this message after you have replaced the toner container.

Close paper transfer unit is another error message you may have to deal with when using your Kyocera printer. This indicates that the paper transfer unit is open. You need to close the unit.

Check waste toner box warns you that either the waste toner box was not installed correctly or that the waste toner box is full.
How to Install the Toner Cartridge & Waste Toner Box in the Kyocera FS-C5020n Printer
The first step to install the toner container and waste toner box is to close the paper transfer unit tightly. Then open the top cover and remove the packing item. Next make sure that the toner container is facing down and shake it several times so that it is distributed evenly. Next set the new toner container in the printer with the markings upward. Now you can install the toner container by pushing down on the container. It will eventually click tightly into place. Then apply light pressure to the toner container and push the lock to its original position. The other color toner containers can be installed the same way. Finally close the top cover of the printer.

After you are finished installing the toner container, you can install the waste toner box. Begin by opening the left cover. Then open the cap of the waste toner box. Now install the waste toner box into the printer as seen in the figure and set the box into the correct space. It is essential to make sure that the waste toner box is inserted correctly and close the left cover. Then you need to connect the printer.

The Kyocera FS-C5020n offers a lot of features and low cost printing, making it perfect for any business in need of an affordable printer. It prints 17 pages per minute and comes with a lot of memory. Despite its initial cost of around $2,000 it is a great buy. Plus it is backed with a one year warranty.


Pros: Not only is the FS-C020n easy to set up, it also offers high quality printing. When printing text it is extremely high quality. Therefore it exceeds the printing needs of any office. It prints 4 point fonts that are readable as well as stylized script. Photos printing using this device are good and can be used to print newsletters and brochures. It also offers quality graphics that are outstanding for a color laser. The only slight problem is subtle banding. Companies looking for solid graphics for internal business use will love this printer due to its low printing cost. The main advantage that this printer offers is low cost. It offers 1.1 cent per page monochrome printing and 4.8 cents per page color printing. Even if your business only prints around 80 pages a day, your company will save money by purchasing the FS-C5020N. The more you print, the more you save!


Cons: The performance of the FS-C5020n is slow. It doesn’t handle Acrobat files well. Also it offers slow times when using business applications. For companies looking to print things fast, you probably want to give this printer a pass. Another drawback for many users is that it does not offer duplex printing. As a result when you want to print on both sides of the paper you will have to do it manually, which means more time standing around rather than working.
