This toner cartridge prints 7000 pages with average 5% coverage (Nearly all Printer manufacturers base their ink/toner cartridge yields on 5% page coverage).

This product comes with a 6 month Warranty against any defects (including free replacement). We stand behind our products 100%, as these are not manufactured by Gestetner.

Why toner? Why not call it ink? Regular ink dries quickly, which is why cartridges for inkjet printers do not last long. Laser Printers use toner, which is ink in the form of powder. A sealed toner cartridge can be stored for 2+ years prior to usage.

When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Gestetner DSm415 Laser Copier?

The toner cartridge installed in your Gestetner DSm415 Laser Copier must be replaced when any of the listed indications appears.

The [Add Toner] indicator flashes – The level of remaining toner is enough for about 50 new copies, but please be aware that print-quality may be unsatisfactory. You should install a new toner cartridge.

The [Add Toner] indicator is on – The installed toner cartridge is empty. Printing/copying will not continue until a new toner cartridge is installed.

All copies are of poor quality

[Add Toner <> Out of toner] or [Toner is almost empty <> Add toner] is displayed – Your Gestetner DSm415 Laser Copier is out of toner. Please install a new toner cartridge.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Gestetner DSm415 Laser Copier

Initially, you must open the front cover of your Gestetner DSm415 Laser Copier, and then pull the green handle of the toner-cartridge holder up to the horizontal position. Next, you must push the green lock release lever to the right, and then pull the green handle towards you until the toner-cartridge holder stops. After that, you must press the exhausted toner cartridge towards the copier to raise its top, and then pull the exhausted component out of the machine. Now, you must unpack the new toner cartridge, and then shake it 7-8 times horizontally to redistribute the toner. Once you have redistributed the toner, you must remove the outer black cap, and then insert the new toner cartridge into the holder. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must push the green handle towards the main unit until the toner-cartridge holder clicks, and then lower the green handle. Finally, you must close the front cover of your Gestetner DSm415 Laser Copier.

With the Gestetner DSm-415 you get outstanding duplexing. It provides support for PC and Macintosh users with standard PCL 5e/6 and optional Adobe PostScript. There is a 100 sheet bypass tray. The printer is easy to set up. Plug it in and run the print driver software and it is ready to go.

Output quality with the Gestetner DSm-415 is outstanding. Text documents are of professional quality. They are easily readable at 4 point fonts. Color images are vivid and clear.
