Overview:

The HP Color LaserJet 2800 series is a versatile all-in-one device that communicates effectively.  Organizations can maximize productivity with the moderately-fast print speeds and networking ability of the device.  The MFP is capable of network printing, scanning, faxing,  and copying.  The compactness of the printer is measured at 19.6" in width, 20.9" in depth, 20.6" in height, and weighs moderately at 69.6 pounds; it will fit on a well-built desktop or any office credenza with ease.

Pros:

The all-in-one allows this printer to copy, fax, scan, and print photos directly from cameras.  This is a handful of useful features that will make the work-environment versatile with effective communication between nodes.  The print and copy speeds are robust at 20 pages per minute in Black & White-based documents and four pages per minute in Color-based documents.  Black & White print resolution is up to 600 x 600 dots per inch, and the Color resolution is up to 600 x 600 dots per inch.  This device has a monthly duty cycle of up to 30,000 pages per month.

The printer can be consolidated and shared with the network capabilities stemming from its JetDirect BaseTX 10/100 fast Ethernet connections.  Networking this printer amongst nodes with Ethernet is not the only option of network-ability.  It can be hooked directly via its USB 2.0 port to a single computer.  From the USB connection, computers can be managed for host sharing.

Businesses can save energy and time with the first print of the day taking only 18 seconds for Black & White documents or 29 seconds for Color documents.  Businesses can utilize the printer's Super G3 technology to fax business-class pages at 3 seconds per page.  The fax has a memory storage capable of storing up to 250 pages.

The scan resolution is amazingly high at 19,200 dots per inch.  The ADF can be used for hands-free faxing, scanning, and copying documents in sizes up to 8.5 x 14".  The flatbed is ideal for single sheet or bound originals.  The scan features are versatile with its scan-to-PC, scan-to-email, scan-to network folders, and scan-to-PC folders.  It is easy to archive, edit, and send documents digitally.  The electronic, digital imaging is also beneficial for the environment by reducing the impact of paper waste.  Digital imaging and documentation offers a significant advantage in management in contrast to the physical resources.

The HP Color LaserJet 2800 series of MFPs utilizes ImageREt 2400 technologies.  ImageREt 2400 technologies aid in producing extraordinary-quality output.  HP Smart Printing makes automatic adjustments to cartridges while monitoring them.  Users can set the special fuser mode to purge print defects and produce the finest output on a diversity of HP paper-mediums.  This is quite a suite of enhancement technologies for an MFP.

The time it takes to load paper is reduced with its loading capacity of up to 375 sheets.  A 250-sheet tray and 125-sheet tray for multipurpose are suited for exclusive paper types like paper finishes, types, sizes, labels, and envelopes.

Cons:

It does not appear that this MFP allows managers to track usage and expenditure of supplies.  As full-featured this MFP is, it does not make sense equippinh this device with a processor capable of 264 Mega Hertz only.  While the black-prints are especially swift, the color-based document prints should be faster; because it has the Ethernet network-ability.  Color print resolution is subpar.  The printer has an Automatic Document Feeder, but it is unclear whether this device has automatic duplex features.
