HP COLOR LASERJET 2830 DRUM

The lifespan of the drum installed in your HP Color LaserJet 2830 All-in-One Printer depends mainly on the type and length of your print jobs. The main components of the drum cartridge are the photosensitive drum, primary charging roller, transfer belt, primary transfer roller, transfer-belt cleaning roller, and auxiliary transfer-belt cleaning roller. Please note that the drum is a user-replaceable part. You can obtain information about the remaining life and the condition of the installed drum by printing a supplies status page, which can be selected from the [Reports] menu of the control panel.
The installed drum should be replaced if all toner cartridges have been replaced, but one or several of the listed print-quality problems is/are still present.

You must open the scanner assembly, and then open the top cover of your HP Color LaserJet 2830 All-in-One Printer. After that, you must rotate the exhausted drum towards the scanner unit until the handle is at the top, and then use the handle to pull the exhausted component out of the laser printer. Now, you must unpack the new drum, and then place it on a flat, leveled surface. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove the shipping pins by pulling the orange plastic rings away from the new drum, and then remove the two shipping locks and the two shipping spacers from the new component. Please do not touch the surface of the photosensitive drum. At this stage of the procedure, you must remove the orange cover carefully from the photosensitive drum, and then align the marks on the sides of the new drum with the marks inside the laser printer. Immediately after that, you must insert the new drum firmly into the slot, and then close the top cover. Finally, you must close the scanner assembly of your HP Color LaserJet 2830 All-in-One Printer.
