HP LASERJET 3300 TONER CARTRIDGE

There are two types of toner cartridges available for your HP LaserJet 3300 Multifunction Printer: Standard, and High Yield. The lifespan of the Standard toner cartridge is approximately 2500 pages at 5% coverage. The high yield toner cartridge has a bigger print resource, and its lifespan is approx. 3500 pages at 5% coverage. You can extend the lifespan of the installed toner cartridge by using the ‘’HP EconoMode’’. Please note that you can turn this toner saving mode by opening the ‘’HP LaserJet Director’’ and navigating to [Tools] – [Device Configuration] – [Print Quality], where you must select [EconoMode On].
You should replace the installed toner cartridge, when any of the described below print quality issues and warning messages appears.

• Light prints – The installed toner cartridge is nearly empty. You must install a new toner cartridge.

• Dropouts – This is an indication for a damaged or defective toner cartridge. A new toner cartridge must be installed.

• Vertical lines – The most common cause of this print quality issue is damaged/scratched drum surface. Please note that the photoconductive drum is built into the toner cartridge. Therefore, you should install a new toner cartridge.

• Gray background – You should try to resolve the issue by decreasing the print density settings through ‘’HP LaserJet Device Configuration’’. The installed toner cartridge must be replaced, if the issue persists.

• Toner Smear or Loose Toner – The installed toner cartridge has been exhausted, or damaged. You should install a new toner cartridge.

• Vertical repetitive defects – The photoconductive drum of the installed toner cartridge is damaged. A new toner cartridge must be installed.

• The following error message ‘’Door Open or No Print Cartridge’’ is displayed – You must make sure that the toner cartridge is installed correctly, and then close the cover of the toner cartridge compartment. Please install a new toner cartridge, if the issue persists.

• Blank prints – You must make sure that the sealing tape has been completely removed during the installation of the new toner cartridge. You must install a new toner cartridge, if the problem persists.

You must start the replacement procedure by opening the door of the toner cartridge compartment, which is located below the control panel. Then, you must take the emptied/exhausted toner cartridge out of the compartment by slowly pulling it towards you. Please avoid shaking the used toner cartridge. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must take the new toner cartridge out of the transport packaging, and then remove the protective sealing tape from the cartridge shutter. After that, you must align the new toner cartridge with the slot so the stamped arrow is pointing towards the machine, and then insert the new component firmly into the laser printer. Finally, you must close the door of the toner cartridge compartment.
