HP COLOR LASERJET 3800N COLOR TONER CARTRIDGES SET

Your HP Color LaserJet 3800N Printer is equipped with four toner cartridges installed in the following order (left to right): Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. The current toner level of the installed cartridges is displayed on the supplies gauge of the top-level screen. Alternatively, you could check the status of installed consumable components by printing a ‘’Supplies status’’ page from the information menu of your color laser printer.
A warning message will be displayed on the control LCD, if the built-in monitoring system detects a toner cartridge related abnormality. All messages used by the built-in system for an indication of such abnormalities are listed and described below.

• ‘’10.94.YY REMOVE SHIPPING LOCKS FROM ALL CARTRIDGES’’ – This error message indicates that the plastic shipping locks of one or several installed toner cartridges have not been removed during the installation. You must remove all toner cartridges from the laser printer, and then detach the remaining shipping locks. The problematic toner cartridges must be replaced, if the message is still displayed after the reinstallation.

• ‘’10.XX.YY SUPPLY MEMORY ERROR’’ – You should reinstall the indicated toner cartridges, and then restart the laser printer. Please install new toner cartridges of the indicated colors, if the problem persists.

• ‘’GENUINE HP SUPPLIES DESIGNED FOR <PROD>’’ – This warning message indicates that one or several of the installed toner cartridges are not designed to be used in your HP Color LaserJet 3800N Printer. Please note that the printing with the unsupported toner cartridges is possible, but the print quality cannot be guaranteed.

• ‘’INCORRECT <COLOR> CARTRIDGE’’ or ‘’INCORRECT SUPPLIES’’ – The indicated toner cartridge is installed in a wrong slot. You must make sure that all cartridges are installed into the corresponding (regarding color) slots.

• ‘’INSTALL <COLOR> CARTRIDGE’’ or ‘’INSTALL SUPPLIES’’ – The built-in monitoring system is not detecting the indicated toner cartridges. You must make sure that all toner cartridges are correctly installed. Please replace the problematic toner cartridges, if the problem persists.

• ‘’ORDER <COLOR> CARTRIDGE’’ or ‘’ORDER SUPPLIES’’ – The indicated toner cartridges are near the end of their useful life. You should install new toner cartridges of the indicated colors soon after the initial appearance of this warning message, in order to be avoided print quality issues and a non-operational mode.

• ‘’REMOVE ALL PRINT CARTRIDGES’’ or ‘’REMOVE AT LEAST ONE PRINT CARTRIDGE’’ – One of these messages will displayed, when the laser printer is performing an automatic cartridge or component test. You should follow the instructions given in the message, and remove the indicated toner cartridges from the main unit.

You must open the front door of your HP Color LaserJet 3800N Printer, and then pull the exhausted toner cartridge carefully towards you to remove it from the main compartment. Please avoid touching the surface of the transfer unit, which is located on the inside of the front door. After that, you must take the new toner cartridge of the corresponding color out of the transport packaging, and then shake the cartridge several times from side to side, in order the toner to be loosened and evenly distributed. Once you have redistributed the toner, you must remove the orange shipping locks and the shipping tape from the new toner cartridge. In the next step, you must insert the prepared new toner cartridge firmly into the corresponding slot of the laser printer, and then close the front door. Finally, you must wait approx. 10 seconds for the automatic cartridge initialization procedure to be executed.
