36 Products for the HP Color LaserJet 4550dn Color Laser Printer
HP Color LaserJet 4500dn Review
Hewlett & Packard presents the HP Color LaserJet 4500dn. A printer that has a cost-effective laser utility that dishes out prints at an average rate; in comparison to the fastest printers on the market. HP decided to include their popular network management tools with this one. This printer was introduced to the markets on 1994. The 'dn' model is a part of the 4500 family, and there are slight differences that give buyers a bang for their buck. This printer is the largest of the family; at 15.4-inches tall, 19.7-inches wide, 22.4-inches deep, and a weight of 112 pounds.
In comparison to the predecessors of the 4500dn model, the cheaper alternatives lack the fundamentals of which the 'dn' model facilitates. Businesses who want a full-featured, fully capable printer will go for the 4500dn instead of the 4500/4500n. When this printer was introduced, HP had just created a new line of color laser printers. This printer is directed to the market of work-groups consisting of around 25 users. It presents a print rate of 4 pages per minute in color, and 16 pages per minute in mono. HP's assertion of the print-rate was confirmed by placing the printer in operation. It came remarkable close to the quoted speeds; a 15-page document dropped in under a minute.
This is an original printer that was introduced to the market in 1994. Therefore, HP has already discontinued this line of printers, and they may not offer the appropriate drivers for newer operating systems located on their site. Third-party vendors may produce the drivers compatible, but no one really wants to search high-and-low for compatible drivers. The printer is a bit heavy for most users. Don't expect to lift this printer on a desk easily without another person to assist. It is rumored that it takes roughly an hour to set up the printer toner components for the first time. Vibrancy of color output may be lack thereof. There are no scan, fax, and copy capabilities. Can be quite noisy with sound emission of roughly 57 decibels. |
