HP LASERJET 4MV TONER CARTRIDGE

The toner cartridge installed in your HP LaserJet 4MV Printer is a consumable component. The lifespan of this consumable component depends upon various subjective factors, such as the chosen print density settings, the average percentage of page coverage, the usage of toner saving modes, etc… Because of these facts, your laser printer is equipped with a precise built-in monitoring system, which displays a warning message on the control LCD whenever a toner cartridge related abnormality has been detected. All warning messages indicating such abnormalities are listed and described below.

• ‘’PRINTER OPEN’’, or ‘’NO TONER CART’’ – You must make sure that the toner cartridge is installed correctly, and then close the front cover of your HP LaserJet 4MV Printer. Please install a new toner cartridge, if the issue persists.

• ‘’TONER LOW’’ – The installed toner cartridge is near the end of its useful life. You should install a new toner cartridge soon after the initial appearance of the warning message on the front panel display. Otherwise, your work will be negatively affected by gradually decreasing print quality.

• ‘’TONER EMPTY’’ – All print/copy operations have been disabled due to a completely exhausted/emptied toner cartridge. You must install a new toner cartridge in your HP LaserJet 4MV Printer.

Most print quality issues could be caused by an exhausted or damaged toner cartridge. For that reason, you must replace the installed toner cartridge, if any of the print quality issues listed below appears.

• Fade
• Lines
• Background gray toner shading
• Repetitive defects
• Line at edge of paper

You can avoid interruptions of your normal work cycle by simply keeping a spare toner cartridge for your HP LaserJet 4MV Printer in stock, but please remember to store this consumable component in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

You must start the replacement procedure by turning off your HP LaserJet 4MV Printer and unplugging its power cord. Then, you must open the front cover by gently pulling its upper section towards you. After that, you must take the used toner cartridge out of the laser printer by carefully pulling it towards you, and then clean the toner cartridge cavity and the paper path area with a dry lint-free cloth, but please avoid touching the transfer roller. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must take the new toner cartridge out of the protective packaging, shake it at least 10 times from side to side, and then remove the sealing tape from the new component. Once you have prepared the new toner cartridge, you must align it with the toner cartridge slot, so the arrow stamped on the new cartridge is pointing toward the slot. Now, you must slide the new toner cartridge along the guides of the slot until it is firmly inserted. Finally, you must close the front cover, and then test your HP LaserJet 4MV Printer.
