HP LASERJET M1522N TONER CARTRIDGE

The HP LaserJet M1522N Multifunction Printer is equipped with a highly sophisticated built-in system, which is constantly monitoring the status of all installed components/parts. The monitoring system will display a warning message on the front-panel LCD, once it detects a toner cartridge related abnormality. The most common toner cartridge related abnormalities are usually caused by an insufficient toner level. You can extend the lifespan of the toner cartridge installed in your laser printer by selecting a lower print density, and by turning on the ‘’EconoMode’’ of your HP LaserJet. Please note that you could also select at which stage of the toner cartridge exhaustion to be displayed a warning message (1-20% remaining toner). The status of the installed toner cartridge could be checked at any time from the [Setup] – [Reports] – [Supplies Status] menu. All of the messages used by the built-in system for an indication of a toner cartridge related abnormalities are listed and described below.

• ‘’10.0000 Supply Memory Error’’ or ‘’10.1000 Supply Memory Error’’ – The built-in monitoring system has received an incorrect ‘’e-label’’/initialization signal from the toner cartridge sensor. You must reinstall the toner cartridge, and then restart the printer. Please note that a new toner cartridge must be installed if the problem/issue persists.

• ‘’Install black cartridge’’ – The toner cartridge is incorrectly installed or missing. You must reinstall the toner cartridge. Please install a new toner cartridge, if the message is still displayed after the correct reinstallation.

• ‘’Used black cartridge in use’’ – This error message indicates that an old/used cartridge has been reinstalled. You should press the [OK] button to dismiss the warning message.

• ‘’Order black cartridge’’ – This is an indication of a nearly exhausted/emptied toner cartridge. You should install a new toner cartridge soon after the initial appearance of this warning message, in order to be avoided print quality problems caused by an insufficient toner level. The complete replacement procedure is included below.

In the first step of the replacement procedure, you must open the cover of the toner cartridge compartment (the top cover). Then, you must remove the exhausted toner cartridge by grasping its handle and pulling carefully towards you at an angle of approx. 60degrees. After that, you must unpack the new toner cartridge, and then shake it 8-10 times from side to side, in order the toner to be loosened and evenly distributed. Now, you must remove the orange protective cover from the new toner cartridge, and then completely pull off the orange sealing tape. In the next step, you must insert the prepared new toner cartridge firmly into the compartment. Finally, you must close the cover of the toner cartridge compartment, and then test your HP LaserJet M1522N Multifunction Printer.
