OFFICEJET PRO 8000 WIRELESS BLACK YELLOW PRINTHEAD

Your HP OfficeJet Pro 8000 Wireless Printer is equipped with two printheads: one Black & Yellow printhead, and one Magenta & Cyan printhead. You should replace the installed printheads, if any of the print quality issues or the warning/error messages listed below is reappearing.

• Inaccurate/wrong colors are printed, or colors do not line up properly – You should print a quality diagnostic page. The printheads must be replaced, if the issue persists.

• The following error message ‘’ Printhead(s) Missing’’ is displayed on the control LCD; or the [Power] LED is on, and one or several printhead LEDs are blinking – The indicated printheads are missing or not installed correctly. Please make sure that the printheads are fully inserted into the corresponding slots. The problematic printheads must be replaced, if the problem persists.

• The following error message ‘’Incompatible Printhead’’ is displayed on the control panel LCD, or the [Power] LED and one or several printhead LEDs are blinking – You should replace the indicated printheads.

• The following error message ‘’Printhead problem’’ is displayed on the control panel LCD – The built-in monitoring system has detected a critical printhead hardware error. You must replace the damaged/faulty printhead.

In the initial step of the replacement procedure, you must open the cover of the printhead compartment, and then lift the little cover of the printhead carriage. Please note that you will have to press and hold the [Resume] button, if the printhead carriage does not move to the left automatically. After that, you must remove the exhausted printhead by grasping its handle and pulling carefully upwards, and then shake the new printhead several times from side to side. Now, you must take the new printhead out of the transport packaging, and then remove its orange protective caps. Once the new printhead is completely unpacked, you must insert it into the corresponding slot of the carriage, and then lock the new component into place by pressing down its top side. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must close the cover of the carriage, and then close the cover of the printhead compartment. Finally, you must wait about 20 minutes for the automatic printheads alignment procedure to be completely executed, and then test your HP OfficeJet Pro 8000 Wireless Printer.
