The KM-C4035 scanner is capable of performing four main functions. They are Scan to PC, Send Email, TWAIN, and database connection.

Using the [Software Library] CD-ROM that is included with this product you can install the Scanner File Utility, Address Book, Address Editor (Management Tool), and DB Assistant.

The first step to install these utilities is to close any applications that are open and then run windows. After that you need to place the [Software Library]CD-ROM into the CDROM drive.

Then you should see the license agreement pop up on your screen. Then click [Accept]. If you do not see the screen at first, open the CD-ROM window to open it by double clicking on the [setup.exe] file. Now you need to start the [Scanner Utilities] in the main menu. Finally click on the name of the utility that you want to install. A window will appear that will allow you to install it. Simply follow the instructions on the screen to install the selected utility.

If you want scan originals using PaperPort it is necessary to install TWAIN source which can simply be installed. First you need to run Windows without any other applications running. Then put the [Software Library] CD-ROM in your computer. You will also be required to click that you agree to the license agreement. After that you need to click on [Scanner Utilities] in the Main Menu. Then click your browser on [TWAIN Source]. A window will appear and then you need to select the model of the scanner that you want to install TWAIN for. Finally follow the instructions on the screen to install TWAIN.

If you are unable to use the scanner you must check to make sure that the network cable is connected. Sometimes this message appears after turning the scanner ON, you must wait awhile for the scanner to warm up before the scanner will begin to work.

You may encounter an error that says unable to find PC. When this error occurs you need to check the scanner file utility to make sure that it is running properly.
