KONICA MINOLTA FAX 2800 DRUM

The drum unit installed in your KONICA MINOLTA Fax 2800 is a consumable component, which has a printing resource for approximately 20000 pages. The overall print quality will be gradually decreasing, once the installed drum unit reaches or it is near to the above maximal prints number. You could easily check the current prints made by the installed drum unit by performing the short procedure included below.

Drum Counter Check

1. Navigate to ''MACHINE OPERATION?'' by pressing the [SET] button once, and then the [V/PINCODE] four times.
2. Select the [DRUM COUNTER] by pressing [9] – The current prints number will be displayed.
3. Press [YES], and then [STOP] to exit from the counter menu.

Please note that the built-in system of your laser fax machine will turn on the [ERROR] LED and the audio signalization, once it detects that the installed drum unit has been exhausted. Please also note that you should install a new toner cartridge, when replacing an exhausted drum unit in your KONICA MINOLTA Fax 2800. The complete drum unit replacement procedure is included below.

In the first step of the drum unit replacement procedure, you must press both lock release buttons and open the top cover of your KONICA MINOLTA Fax 2800. Then, remove the exhausted toner cartridge and drum unit assembly by pulling it straight upwards. After that, you must unpack the new drum unit and the new toner cartridge, and then shake the new cartridge 8-10 times. Now, you must attach the new toner cartridge to the new drum unit, and then insert the new assembly into the fax machine, but make sure that the tabs of the drum unit are placed on the green guides of the machine. Finally, you must close the top cover of your KONICA MINOLTA Fax 2800.
