Kyocera FS-1100 Toner Cartridge - 4,000 Pages
  OVER 50

Price:  $15.89
Product Description
Kyocera Mita FS-1100 Toner Cartridge - 4,000 Pages

This toner cartridge prints 4000 pages with average 5% coverage (Nearly all Printer manufacturers base their ink/toner cartridge yields on 5% page coverage).

This product comes with a 6 month Warranty against any defects (including free replacement). We stand behind our products 100%, as these are not manufactured by Kyocera Mita.

Why toner? Why not call it ink? Regular ink dries quickly, which is why cartridges for inkjet printers do not last long. Laser Printers use toner, which is ink in the form of powder. A sealed toner cartridge can be stored for 2+ years prior to usage.

Kyocera Mita FS-1100 Review

As time passes, quality improves and features are enhanced notably for another FS series of Kyocera Mita, the FS-1100, a mono laser printer which did surpass its preceding Kyocera Mita-designed printers. Appearance and design are enhanced with new features integrated and speed is made to top every other printers. The amazing technology of Kyocera Mita made FS-1100 maintain the reliability and production of long lasting printers at a modest price which can be the best deal you may get from a laser printer.

If you’re already amazed with the earlier printers designed by Kyocera Mita, you should be upgrading your amazement with the upgraded speed of FS-1100. Previous FS printers with 5W sleep mode integrated takes longer to leap into action from sleep mode thus reducing the speed for warm-up and first print out time but for FS-1100, speed is maintained even from the sleep mode. With this, it boasts an amazingly fast warm-up time of less than 15 seconds and a first print out time of only less than 6 seconds. It’s best for quick printing needs at an excellent per minute printing speed of 30 PPM (pages per minute) for letter size and 24 PPM for legal size. If still this speed does not impress you at all, Kyocera Mita offers an upgrade of FS-1100 printer memory for up to 544 MB via 100 pin DDR DIMM slot from its standard 32 MB memory.

New features and design are employed in FS-1100 to enhance its usability and looks. The printer’s case is styled in cream color with an accompanying dark gray color coupled with some colored highlights and smart lines to heighten distinctiveness. First of these beautiful highlights is an LED circular ring which indicates printing status such as low paper, low toner and paper jam levels. Another highlight is a notable triangular folding paper stop at the top of the printer. The printer together with all these features collectively is non-bulky with dimensions of 14.8”W x 15.5”D x 9.8”H and weight of 22.1 lbs. which means mobility is not an issue.

The excellent print quality is justified by its standard printing resolution of 1200 x 1200 DPI which depending in printing needs, can be adjusted into fast 1200 mode (1200 x 600 DPI), 600 x 600 DPI and 300 x 300 DPI. Printouts are of dense and vibrant shades with edges and complexes shown smoothly. It has great maximum duty cycle which prints up to 20,000 pages per month.

Kyocera Mita FS-1100 is certainly a wise buy as it maximizes your saving capacity. With the long-lasting photoconductor drum, thanks to the astounding drum technology of Kyocera Mita, and the sleep mode integrated, FS-1100 saves you a lot of money minimizing maintenance cost and electric bills. Energy wastage is as well minimized with such sleep mode function.

FS-1100 requires no great technical skills as the setting up is very simple and straightforward. You’ll just have to unseal the cartridge, put it in place and wait for several minutes for the charging cycle. The paper sheet capacity of FS-1100 indicates its efficiency in large printing jobs which can contain a maximum of 501 sheets by adding an additional 200 paper sheet drawer out from the standard 250 sheet drawer and a single sheet Multipurpose tray.

Behind FS-1100’s dense and vibrant text outputs, it appears to be thinner compared to other mono laser printers and has a very slight banding in its photo printouts. Also the print engine and idle fan seems to be a little noisier compared to some typical personal printers available in the market. Operating system compatibility is also a hassle as by default, it is incompatible to newer operating systems namely Windows Vista and 7 since its compatibility are on operating systems prior to its release or in the case of Windows OS, its compatibility is only until Windows XP and so driver/s (if available, which may be found directly in the official manufacturer’s site) is/are needed to be downloaded and installed to be compatible with these newer operating systems.
