  OVER 100

Price:  $35.89
Product Description
Kyocera Mita FS-3820n Toner Cartridge - 20,000 Pages

This toner cartridge prints 20000 pages with average 5% coverage (Nearly all Printer manufacturers base their ink/toner cartridge yields on 5% page coverage).

This product comes with a 6 month Warranty against any defects (including free replacement). We stand behind our products 100%, as these are not manufactured by Kyocera Mita.

Why toner? Why not call it ink? Regular ink dries quickly, which is why cartridges for inkjet printers do not last long. Laser Printers use toner, which is ink in the form of powder. A sealed toner cartridge can be stored for 2+ years prior to usage.

Kyocera Mita FS-3820N Review

Providing decent quality prints at a speedy rate and exemplary paper handling performance, Kyocera Mita FS-3820N monochrome laser printer never puts you in jeopardy as it is pocket-friendly and environmentally friendly. Without disintegrating environment for its design under the ECOSYS technology, it puts you in satisfaction for money spent great in large printing jobs in various paper sizes.

Durability is worth noting for every Kyocera Mita printers including FS-3820N with the drum unit and toner cartridge made under the guarantee to last longer and is covered by a standard 2-year return-to-base warranty. These just simply signify a low running cost boasting a cost per page of only 0.495 cents. Such durable printer is as well professional-looking with a shape resembling a box relieved by slightly curved edges at the top panel where interesting features are readily visible. The whole of the printer is styled in beige with a prominent dark gray glass panel at the front most top enough to cover the LCD display which indicates some important printing statuses. Just right beside it is a rectangle of elongated eight buttons for controls.

Kyocera Mita has a considerably amazing printing speed for a mono laser printer of its batch. It is claiming a warm-up time of less than 10 seconds and a first print out time of less than 9.5 seconds. It takes up your rush printing needs at a per minute printing speed of 29 PPM (pages per minute) for letter size and 24 PPM for legal size that outputs an estimated 125,000 pages in a month. The speed is justified by the standard 64 MB memory which if still not sufficient, can be upgraded to 320 MB via 100 pin DIMM slot.

The expandable paper sheet capacity is perhaps more than substantial that makes it perfect for large printing jobs. The standard 600 paper sheet capacity can be maximized for up to 2100 paper capacity. The standard capacity is given by the 500 paper sheet drawer and a 100-sheet multipurpose tray best for handling various paper sizes and paper types including specialty papers. Aside from this, FS-3820N offers a wide array of optional feeder or tray like an envelope feeder and a face-up tray for DU-61 and an optional automatic duplexer.

As a small workgroup laser printer, FS-3820 offers an ease network printing with the available parallel, USB 2.0 and Ethernet 10/100 connectivity. Its drivers are as well made compatible for various platforms like Windows, Mac and Linux.

Print quality is respectable producing fine clear text excellent even at relatively small fonts. The quality is made possible by the printer’s resolution that is of four variations: the standard 1200 x 1200 DPI, fast 1200 mode (1800 x 600 DPI), 600 x 600 DPI and 2400 x 600 DPI with KIR (Kyocera Image Refinement).

With the dimensions of 13.6”W x 18.1”D x 11.8”H and a weight of 28.7 lbs., FS-3820N is generally non-bulky making mobility possible for such Kyocera Mita-designed printer.

Setting up FS-3820N is not that straightforward making it seemingly confusing and time-consuming. If you’re new to printers, you may require some technical help in setting it up but if you're good at following directions, the set-up guide will be enough to aid you. Although text print can be generally rated as above average, photo and graphic prints pose slight bandings and light-shaded dark regions which significantly lose some details. Operating system compatibility is also a hassle as by default, it is incompatible to newer operating systems namely Windows Vista and 7 since its compatibility are on operating systems prior to its release or in the case of Windows OS, its compatibility is only until Windows XP and so driver/s (if available, which may be found directly in the official manufacturer’s site) is/are needed to be downloaded and installed to be compatible with these newer operating systems.
