When do I Replace a Maintenance Kit in the KYOCERA MITA FS-9530DN?
The maintenance kit installed in your KYOCERA MITA FS-9530DN has an overall print resource enough for approximately 500000 pages. How to Install a Maintenance Kit in the KYOCERA MITA FS-9530DN
The replacement of the maintenance kit installed in your KYOCERA MITA FS-9530DN includes the execution of several different procedures (one for each component of the maintenance kit). Please execute the procedures in the same order as described in this manual.
Step 1 – Removal of the Developer Unit
Initially, you must turn off your KYOCERA MITA FS-9530DN, and then open the front cover. After that, you must remove the toner cartridge and the waste toner container (please refer to ''How to Install a Toner Cartridge and a Waste Toner Container in the KYOCERA MITA FS-9530DN'', which is included in the toner cartridge section on this page), and then remove the locking pin of the exhausted developer unit. Now, you must unlock the exhausted developer unit by turning its lock release lever counterclockwise, and then remove the unlocked component from the machine. Please proceed with step 2.
Step 2 – Removal of the Main Charger
Once the developer unit has been removed, you must remove the inserted part from the connector cover by simply pulling it out, and then remove the connector cover. After that, you must remove the connector, and then you must insert a sharp-pointed object into the little hole above the main charger unit, in order to unlock the exhausted component from the slot. Now, you must remove the main charger from the printer by grabbing its front side and carefully pulling towards you. Please proceed with step 3.
Step 3 – Removal of the Drum Unit
Once the developer unit and the main charger have been removed from the printer, you must remove the screw, which is securing the drum unit to the compartment, and then take the exhausted drum unit out of the machine. Please proceed with step 4.
Step 4 – Replace the Fuser Unit
Open the left cover of your laser printer, and then remove the two screws from the front left cover. After that, you must remove the front left cover, and then unlock the exhausted fuser unit by removing its locking screw. Now, you must insert the new fuser unit, and then secure the new component into place with the locking screw. Reinstall the front left cover. Please proceed with step 5.
Step 5 – Replace the Transfer Unit
You must grab the exhausted transfer unit by its projections and slide it towards the front. Then, you must take the exhausted transfer unit out of the printer. After that, you must unpack, and then install the new transfer unit into the printer. Once the transfer unit is installed, you must close the left cover of your KYOCERA MITA FS-9530DN. Please proceed with step 6.
Step 6 – Installation of the new Drum Unit
You must unpack the new drum unit, and then insert it into the slot. After that, you must secure the new drum unit by attaching its locking screw, and then reinstall the main charger unit. Please proceed with step 7.
Step 7 – Installation of the new Developer Unit
Unpack the new developer unit, and then insert it into the slot. Now, you must lock the new developer unit into place by turning its lock release lever clockwise, and then attach the locking pin. After that, you must reinstall the toner cartridge and the waste toner container into the printer (please refer to ''How to Install a Toner Cartridge and a Waste Toner Container in the KYOCERA MITA FS-9530DN'', which is included on the toner cartridge section on this page). Finally, you must close the front cover, and then test your KYOCERA MITA FS-9530DN laser printer.
