The Lanier LD-145 is an improvement from Lanier’s LD-135. It offers improved printing speeds and is perfect to meet the challenges of your office. The Lanier LD-145 offers a lot of paper storage capacity for offices and businesses that have heavy printing demands.

Pros:

The Lanier LD-145 is fast and can produce 45 pages a minute. It copies using CCD scanning and twin laser beam electro-photographic printing, which enables the Lanier LD-145 to produce quality copies. Users will love the fact that it won’t take long for the printer to warm up. You will only need to wait 20 seconds for it to warm up before receiving the first copy in 3.6 seconds.
It comes with standard languages such as PCL5e has 300/600 dpi, PCL6 equals 600 dpi, and RCPS with options for 200, 300 and 600 dpi. The memory of this printer is 192 MB with a 20 GB HDD for a separate virtual storage. It supports a standard bi-directional IEEE 1284 with an Ethernet 10 base-TX. Other options include Wireless LAN, Bluetooth and USB 2.0.
The Lanier LD-145 offers outstanding scanning speeds of 52 originals per minute. It can scan A5 to A3 sized paper. The scanner supports PDF, JPEG and TIFF files, with bundled drivers for Network TWAIN and SMTP scan to email feature. The Lanier LD-145 has storage for 50 folders, thus allowing you to better handle scan outputs.

For paper handling and storage capacity, the Lanier LD-145 has a maximum of 3,550 sheets. It comes with two 500-sheet trays with a 50-sheet bypass. There are options for two additional 500-sheet trays, as well as 1,500-sheet large capacity tray. The Lanier LD-145 also offers outstanding finishing features such as a 1,000-sheet, a multi-tray and booklet finishers. Duplexing is also available for the Lanier LD-145.

Cons:

One shorting coming of the Lanier LD-145 is that it only offers resolution of 600 dots per inch. Plus it is very limited with only 64MB of memory. Additionally, the Lanier LD-145 tends to jam which can really be a problem when you are busy and need documents asap.
