When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Lexmark Optra M412 Laser Printer?

The toner cartridge installed in your Lexmark Optra M412 Laser Printer must be replaced in the following circumstances:

The error message [Close Door or Insert Cartridge] is displayed – You must make sure that the toner cartridge is installed, and then close the upper front cover firmly. Please replace the installed toner cartridge if the problem persists.

Toner fog or background shading appears – You must make sure that the toner cartridge is installed correctly, and then test the Lexmark Optra M412 Laser Printer. You should install a new toner cartridge if print quality does not improve.

Streaks appear on the page – The installed toner cartridge is near the end of its useful life. A new toner cartridge must be installed.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Lexmark Optra M412 Laser Printer

You must start the replacement procedure by opening the upper front door. Then, you must remove the used toner cartridge by lifting it up and pulling it out of the slot. Please do not shake the used toner cartridge. Next, you must clean the Lexmark Optra M412 Laser Printer, and then remove the packaging material from the new toner cartridge. After that, you must redistribute the toner by shaking the new cartridge several times from side to side, and then slide the new component along the guides of the slot until it snaps into place. The Lexmark Optra M412 will save you time with fast printing speeds. It can print in black and white at a rate of 17 pages per minute. However the unit lacks faxing capabilities. The maximum monthly duty cycle of the unit is 40,000 pages. The unit has a standard memory of 8 MB that can be expanded to a maximum of 132 MB.

Pros:

The Lexmark M412 has toner cartridges that print high volumes. The standard printer toner has a yield of approximately 5,000 sheets. The high-capacity Optra M412 toner cartridge can last as many as 15,000 prints. The unit only uses a single toner cartridge which will reduce printing cost.
This unit can create professional-quality resolutions of up to 1200 dpi using black Lexmark M412 toner. This unit can handle 850 pages of paper and has an output tray with a capacity of 270 sheets. It comes with a 100 sheet multipurpose tray and a 250 sheet output tray and 250 sheet input tray. An additional 500 sheet paper tray can be added. It can handle different types of paper which include transparencies, vinyl labels and paper labels.
