“[X] TONER EMPTY .CHANGE [X] TONER” This message will appear on your printer’s screen when one of your toner cartridges needs to be replaced. The X sign in the message will be replaced with one of the four colors- Cyan, Magenta, Yellow or Black. On the control panel of the machine around the display there is a TC Change button. Look at the message to see which color cartridge is the empty one. Then press this button until on the screen shows the same color as in the message. That means that the X toner cartridge is moved into position for replacing inside the machine. Then open the scanner unit of the printer pulling the release lever to unlock it. After that there is a second handle that opens the front cover of the machine. Use it and open the engine’s unit cover. On the cover is attached the engine unit of your printer so open it carefully. Open the front cover of the printer. When you are ready you will be able to see the empty toner cartridge standing on top of the others. In the middle of it there is an unlocking handle. To take the cartridge out of the printer, pull this handle. In the empty space that appears you will notice two rail-like holes. When you install the new cartridge you have to align it in them as the old one was. Prepare the new cartridge. Unpack it and then shake it carefully several times to distribute the toner inside. Then as it was said align it with the two rails in the both ends of the cartridge. If the cartridge is correctly installed it should click when it is locked and secured in the printer. When that is done close the front cover of your printer the return the engine unit inside and close its cover. Return the scanner unit as it was in the beginning. When the machine is fully prepared push the STOP/RESET key to remove the message from your screen. When it is ready the machine will start a calibration process. When it is finished the machine is ready for work.
