When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Muratec F-114 Laser Fax Machine?

The Muratec F-114 Laser Fax Machine is based on the 1-piece toner cartridge system, which means that all components of the image-formation system are integrated into the installed toner cartridge. The lifespan of a new, standard toner cartridge is approx. 3,000 pages. Please be aware that the Starter toner cartridge (the cartridge that is initially included with the laser fax machine) lasts only 1,000 pages. You can extend the useful life of the installed toner cartridge by enabling the Toner Save feature (press the [Toner Save] button).
The Muratec F-114 Laser Fax Machine features a 16 characters x 2 lines LCD. The fax machine displays messages on the LCD when it detects a toner-cartridge status change or abnormality. Please follow the instructions given after each of the listed messages and print-quality problems.

[CRU Fuse Error] – The Muratec F-114 Laser Fax Machine does not recognize the installed toner cartridge. Please make sure that the installed toner cartridge is intended for use in your F-114, and then try to solve the problem by reinstalling it. Please install a new toner cartridge if the problem persists.

[No Cartridge] – The laser fax machine does not detect an installed toner cartridge. You must make sure that the toner cartridge is installed correctly, and then test the machine. Please install a new toner cartridge if the problem persists.

[Toner Empty] – The Muratec F-114 Laser Fax Machine cannot print because the installed toner cartridge has been exhausted. Please install a new toner cartridge.

[Toner Low] – The installed toner cartridge is nearly empty. You must make sure that you have a replacement toner cartridge available. Please install the new toner cartridge if print quality is unsatisfactory.

Streaks or spots appear on the printouts – You should try to improve print quality by cleaning the drum. To clean the drum, you have to press [Menu] – [Maintenance] – [Clean Drum] – [Enter]. Please replace the installed toner cartridge if print quality remains unsatisfactory.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Muratec F-114 Laser Fax Machine

Initially, you must turn the Muratec F-114 Laser Fax Machine off, and then unplug the power cord. After that, you must open the front cover, and then remove the used toner cartridge by pulling it towards you while gently pushing it down. Now, you must use a dry, lint-free cloth to wipe away any dust and spilled toner from the toner-cartridge cavity, and then unpack the new toner cartridge. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must slide the new toner cartridge into the fax machine until the new component locks into place.
