When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Panasonic PanaFax UF-585?

Your Panasonic PanaFax UF-585 is equipped with a built-in system, which is constantly monitoring the toner cartridge status. When the monitoring system detects a low toner level, it will display the following error message ‘’043: Toner is getting low.’’. You must promptly replace the exhausted toner cartridge in the above situation. Otherwise, the remaining toner in the nearly empty toner cartridge will be consumed very soon, which will lead to the disabling of all printing operations and to the appearance of the following error message ‘’041: Out of toner.’’ in your UF-585 display. Herein, you should always keep a spare toner cartridge for your Panasonic PanaFax UF-585 in stock.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Panasonic PanaFax UF-585

You must start the toner cartridge replacement procedure in your Panasonic PanaFax UF-585by opening the top cover. After that, you must remove the exhausted toner cartridge by lifting it up, while pressing the toner cartridge lock release handle down. Now, you must prepare the new toner cartridge by shaking it 7-8 times horizontally, and then remove its protective seal in the direction pointed by the printed arrow. Once the new toner cartridge is prepared, you must align its side projections with the grooves of the toner cartridge slot and insert the new toner cartridge into the slot. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must secure the new toner cartridge into the printer` slot by pushing its lock release handle down, and then towards the rear of the printer. After the new toner cartridge installation, you must close the top cover of your Panasonic PanaFax UF-585 and perform the described below cleaning of the printer roller.

Cleaning the Printer Roller

Initially, you must press the [FUNCTION] – [7] – [6] – [SET], and when the following message ‘’CLEANING CHARTS 1: PRINT/2: CLEAN’’ appears in the control display, you must press the [1] button. Once you have pressed the above buttons, the following message ‘’*PRINTING* CLEANING CHARTS’’ will be displayed, and the machine will print out 3 cleaning charts. Now, you must load these cleaning charts face down into the paper cassette and then press the [FUNCTION] – [7] – [6] – [SET]. In order to complete the cleaning procedure, you must press the [2] button. The PanaFax UF-585 will confirm the procedure with the following message ‘’*CLEANING* PRINTER ROLLER’’, and it will clean the printer roller.
