This Toner Cartridge prints 25000 pages with an average 5% page coverage. The amount of pages can vary depending upon the amount of ink printed onto each page. (5% page coverage is a standard Pitney Bowes specification)

When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Pitney Bowes IM-3511 Laser Printer?

The lifespan of the standard toner cartridge installed in your Pitney Bowes IM-3511 Laser Printer is approx. 15,000 pages. Please note that the Starter toner cartridge has a shorter useful life - approx. 3,000 pages at 4% coverage. The installed toner cartridge should be replaced if you are not satisfied with the print quality, or when a toner cartridge related warning-message appears on the LCD screen. All print quality problems and messages related to the condition of the installed toner cartridge are listed and explained below.

‘’No Toner Cartridge’’ is displayed – You must reinstall the toner cartridge properly. Please install a new toner cartridge if the problem is still present after the correct reinstallation.

‘’TONER ALMOST EMPTY’’ – The toner level is very low. You must make sure that a new toner cartridge is available. You should install the new toner cartridge when print quality becomes unacceptable.

‘’TONER EMPTY’’ – This message indicates a non-operational mode. All print/copy operations will be disabled until a new toner cartridge is installed.

Printouts are blank, solid black, too light, and/or too dark.

Printouts have a blurred background, irregularities, white lines, black lines, or toner smudges.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Pitney Bowes IM-3511 Laser Printer

To install a new toner cartridge in your Pitney Bowes IM-3511 Laser Printer, you must open the top cover, and then open the cover of the main compartment. After that, you must grasp the used toner cartridge and pull it slowly upwards to remove it from the laser printer. In the next step of the installation, you must unpack the new toner cartridge from its transport box, and then shake the new component several times up and down to ensure proper toner distribution. Now, you must align the two protrusions of the new toner cartridge with the guides of the slot, and then insert the new cartridge firmly into place. Once the new toner cartridge is firmly inserted, you should clean the LED print head with a dry, lint-free cloth, and then close the cover of the main compartment. Finally, you must close the top cover of your Pitney Bowes IM-3511 Laser Printer firmly.
