This Toner Cartridge prints 11000 pages with an average 5% page coverage. The amount of pages can vary depending upon the amount of ink printed onto each page. (5% page coverage is a standard Ricoh specification)

When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Ricoh Aficio 1027 Laser Printer?

Your Ricoh Aficio 1027 Laser Printer is equipped with a special sensor, which is constantly sending information about the status of the installed toner cartridge to the built-in monitoring system. Once the built-in system receives a ‘’low toner’’ signal, it will display the [Add Toner] sign on the control LCD of your laser printer. Please note that the [Add Toner] sign illustrates six black dots in a pyramidal order with an arrow pointing toward the dots. You must install a new toner cartridge immediately after the appearance of the [Add Toner] sign on the control display. The complete replacement procedure is included below.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Ricoh Aficio 1027 Laser Printer

You must start the replacement procedure by opening the front cover of your Ricoh Aficio 1027 Laser Printer. Then, you must raise the green handle of the toner cartridge holder. In the next step, you must push the lock release lever of the holder down, and then pull the holder gently towards you until it stops. After that, you must push the exhausted toner cartridge towards the main unit to detach it from the holder, and then remove the cartridge by pulling it towards you at an angle of approx. 45degrees. Now, you must shake the new toner cartridge at least 10 times from side to side, in order to loosen and evenly distribute the toner, and then remove the black outer cap from the new consumable component. Once the new toner cartridge is prepared, you must insert it into the holder, and then lock it into place by pushing its top side towards the front side of the holder. In the next step, you must slide the toner cartridge holder back into the printer (it will click into place), and then lower the green handle. Finally, you must close the front cover of your laser printer.

Pros:

This multifunctional device offers a number of outstanding upgrades. Finishers can be added to save you the time of having to manually staple and collate documents. The document feeder can be upgraded to one with reversing capabilities that will save you time.

Even though most buyers purchase the Ricoh Aficio 1027 because it is affordable, it can still handle high volume printing needs. It has a duty cycle of 45,000 pages per month. Surprisingly output quality is above average. This device is extremely affordable and delivers text documents that are of high enough quality for external use.

Toner cartridges are easy to replace. The Ricoh 1027 offers a slim design and cartridges are easy to insert. Best of all you won’t have to replace toner cartridges often since they yield 11,000 pages.

Cons:

The only drawback to the Ricoh Aficio 1027 is that it lacks color printing. Your office may miss the ability to print in color.
