AFICIO 1055 TONER CARTRIDGE

Your Ricoh Aficio 1055 Laser Printer is equipped with a toner cartridge indicator. This indicator is located next to the [Add Staple] indicator, on the upper-right section of the control panel. The [Add Toner] indicator will be blinking/flashing, when the installed toner cartridge is near the end of its useful life. You should prepare a new toner cartridge soon after the initial appearance of the described above indication. Please note that you can still use the print/copy functions of your 1055, when the [Add Toner] indicator is flashing. However, the print quality will be negatively affected by the insufficient toner level. The remaining toner of the nearly empty cartridge will be completely consumed after approx. 1000 new copies/prints, and then you will see that the [Add Toner] indicator is continuously lit (not blinking/flashing). You must install a new toner cartridge immediately after the appearance of the ‘’no toner’’ indication, in order to continue with your print tasks/jobs. Please follow the instructions given below to install the new toner cartridge into your Ricoh Aficio 1055 Laser Printer.

The installation of a new toner cartridge in your Ricoh Aficio 1055 Laser Printer includes the execution of a very simple replacement procedure. There are no special tools or technical skills required for the successful execution of the replacement procedure. The replacement procedure requires no more than 5-10 minutes for complete execution.

You must start the replacement procedure by opening the front cover of your laser printer. Then, you must grab the handle of the toner cartridge holder and pull towards you until the holder is at an angle of 90degrees from the main unit. After that, you must remove the exhausted toner cartridge by pulling it towards you while pushing the green lock release lever, and then unpack the new component. In the next step, you must shake the new toner cartridge 7-8 times horizontally, in order to loosen and evenly distribute the toner, and then remove the black outer cap from the new component. Please do not remove the inner cap of the new toner cartridge. Once the new toner cartridge is prepared, you must insert it into the holder, and then push it towards the main unit until you hear click. Please note that you should turn the new toner cartridge about 20-30 degrees in a clockwise direction, if it is not locking into place when you are pushing it towards the main unit. To end with the installation, you must push the toner cartridge holder back to its original position, and then close the front cover of your Ricoh Aficio 1055 Laser Printer.
