RICOH AFICIO 2016 TONER CARTRIDGE

The toner cartridge installed in your Ricoh Aficio 2016 Laser Printer is a consumable component. The status of this consumable component is constantly monitored by the precise built-in system of your laser printer, which will notify you when a toner cartridge related abnormality is detected. Please install a new toner cartridge, if any of the described below signals appears.

• The [Add Toner] indicator is flashing – This signal indicates that the installed toner cartridge is nearly empty. Please note that the [Add Toner] indicator is located on the control panel of your laser device, and it is illustrating six black dots with an arrow pointing toward the dots. You should install a new toner cartridge soon after the initial appearance of this signal, because the print quality will be noticeably lower/decreased during the ‘’low toner’’ period. Please be aware that the remaining toner will be completely consumed after a maximum of 50 new prints/copies.

• The [Add Toner] indicator is on (continuously lit) – This signal indicates a non-operational mode caused by a completely exhausted toner cartridge. You must install a new toner cartridge, in order the normal functionality of your laser printer to be restored. The complete replacement procedure is included below.

You must open the front cover of your Ricoh Aficio 2016 Laser Printer, and then move the green lever of the toner cartridge holder to a horizontal position. After that, you must push down the lock lever, which is located next to the green lever, and then slowly pull the toner cartridge holder towards you. Now, you must release the exhausted toner cartridge by gently pushing it towards the rear side of the toner cartridge holder, and then remove the exhausted component by pulling it at an angle of approx. 45degrees. At this stage of the installation, you must take the new toner cartridge out of the transport box, and then shake the new component 8-10 times horizontally. In the next step, you must remove the black outer cap, and then insert the new toner cartridge into the holder. Once the new toner cartridge is inserted, you must slide it to the front side of the holder to lock it into place, and then push the toner cartridge holder towards the main unit until you hear a click. Finally, you must lower the green lever of the toner cartridge holder, and then close the front cover of your Ricoh Aficio 2016 Laser Printer.
