1000-Sheet Finisher

You must open the front cover of your 1000-Sheet Finisher. After that, you must grab the knob of the staple unit and pull it upwards, in order to gain access to the staple cartridge holder. Then, you must take the staple cartridge holder out of the staple unit by pulling it towards you while pushing its green lever. Now, you must unlock the staple cartridge holder by pulling its upper portion/unit upwards, and then remove the empty staple cartridge. In the next step, you must insert the new staple cartridge into the holder until it clicks into place, but please make sure that the arrow stamped on the new component is pointing towards the holder, and then lock the staple cartridge holder by pushing its upper unit/portion down. Once the new staple cartridge is securely attached, you must remove the protective ribbon/seal from the new staples, and then insert the staple cartridge holder into the staple unit while pushing the green lever. Finally, you must return the staple unit to its original position (push it towards the finisher), and then close the front cover of the 1000-Sheet Finisher.

2 Tray Finisher

Initially, you must open the front cover of your 2 Tray Finisher. Then, you must remove the staple cartridge holder from the finisher by pulling it towards you while pressing its green lever. In the next step, you must unlock the exhausted staple cartridge by pulling the upper portion/unit of the staple cartridge holder upwards to ‘’unlocked’’ position, and then pull the exhausted consumable component out of the holder. Now, you must unpack the new staple cartridge, and then insert it into the holder in the direction pointed by the stamped arrow. Please note that the new cartridge will click into place, if it has been aligned correctly. After that, you must lock the new staple cartridge by pushing the upper portion/unit of the holder to its original position, and then remove the protective seal from the new staples. Finally, you must insert the staple cartridge holder into the finisher while pushing its green lever, and then close the front cover of your 2 Tray Finisher.

Booklet Finisher

You must start the replacement procedure by opening the front cover of your Booklet Finisher, and then pull the lock release lever of the staple cartridge holder down. After that, you must pull the staple cartridge holder out of the finisher while slightly lifting it, and then lower its upper portion. Now, you must remove the empty staple cartridge from the holder, and then unpack the refill. Once the new staple cartridge is unpacked, you must insert it into the staple cartridge holder, but please make sure that the arrow stamped on the new component is pointing towards the holder. At this stage of the installation, you must pull the protective seal out of the new staple cartridge, and then slide the holder into the finisher until it clicks into place. Finally, you must close the front cover of your Booklet Finisher, and then execute the short ‘’Prepare Stapling’’ procedure, which is included below.

‘’Prepare Stapling’’ Procedure

1. Press the [User Tools/Counter] button.
2. Navigate to [System Settings] – [Prepare Stapling].
3. Press [OK]. – Please note that the finisher will staple 5-7 times without ejecting staples.
4. Press [Exit] twice.

Staple unit for saddle stitch function

In the first step of the installation, you must open the front-bottom cover of your Staple Unit, and then pull out the staple cartridge holder while pushing its lock lever. After that, you must open the staple cartridge holder by pulling its lever upwards, and then remove the exhausted/empty staple cartridge. In the next step of the installation, you must insert the new staple cartridge into the holder, but make sure that the new component is aligned correctly (check the stamped guiding arrows), and then close the staple cartridge holder. Finally, you must push the staple cartridge holder back to its original position, and then close the front-bottom cover of your Staple unit for saddle stitch function.
