RICOH AFICIO CL3500N BLACK TONER CARTRIDGE

Your Ricoh Aficio CL3500N Color Laser Printer is equipped with a sophisticated built-in system for a constant toner cartridge/cartridges monitoring. The system will display an appropriate warning message on the control LCD, when it detects a toner cartridge/cartridges related abnormality. The colors of the problematic toner cartridges will be specified in the displayed message. All of these messages are listed and described below.

‘’Toner is almost empty: Black’’ – This is a warning message/an advance notification, which is indicating that the installed Black toner cartridge has been 99% exhausted. You should prepare a new Black toner cartridge, because the remaining print resource of the installed Black cartridge will be completely consumed very soon.

‘’Toner is almost empty: Cyan’’ – This is a warning message/an advance notification, which is indicating that the installed Cyan toner cartridge has been 99% exhausted. You should prepare a new Cyan toner cartridge, because the remaining print resource of the installed Cyan cartridge will be completely consumed very soon.

‘’Toner is almost empty: Magenta’’ – This is a warning message/an advance notification, which is indicating that the installed Magenta toner cartridge has been 99% exhausted. You should prepare a new Magenta toner cartridge, because the remaining print resource of the installed Magenta cartridge will be completely consumed very soon.

‘’Toner is almost empty: Yellow’’ – This is a warning message/an advance notification, which is indicating that the installed Yellow toner cartridge has been 99% exhausted. You should prepare a new Yellow toner cartridge, because the remaining print resource of the installed Yellow cartridge will be completely consumed very soon.

Please note that the exhausted toner cartridges must be replaced, when the corresponding ‘’Add toner’’ error message appears on the control LCD. The error message will be displayed soon after the initial appearance of the ‘’Toner is almost empty’’ warning message. All toner cartridges related error messages are listed and described below.

‘’Add Toner <> Black’’ – All print operations have been disabled/suspended/deactivated due to a completely exhausted Black toner cartridge. You must install the prepared new Black toner cartridge immediately after the appearance of the error message.

‘’Add Toner <> Cyan’’ – All color print operations have been disabled due to a completely exhausted Cyan toner cartridge. You must install a new Cyan toner cartridge, in order to be able to print color documents. Please note that the B&W printing will be still possible.

‘’Add Toner <> Magenta’’ – All color print operations have been disabled due to a completely exhausted Magenta toner cartridge. You must install a new Magenta toner cartridge, in order to be able to print color documents. Please note that the B&W printing will be still possible.

‘’Add Toner <> Yellow’’ – All color print operations have been disabled due to a completely exhausted Yellow toner cartridge. You must install a new Yellow toner cartridge, in order to be able to print color documents. Please note that the B&W printing will be still possible.

Please note that you should reinstall the indicated toner cartridge/cartridges, if the following error message ‘’Reset Toner XXX/XXX’’ is displayed on the control LCD. Please install new cartridge/cartridges of the indicated color/colors, if the message is still displayed afterwards. It is always better, if you keep a spare set of toner cartridges for your Ricoh Aficio CL3500N Color Laser Printer in stock, but please store these consumable components in a cool, dark place/room. The complete toner cartridge replacement procedure is included below.

The installed toner cartridges are located in a special compartment in the upper portion of your Ricoh Aficio CL3500N Color Laser Printer. Therefore, you must start the replacement procedure by opening the upper left cover of your laser printer. Then, you must locate the exhausted toner cartridge by checking the labels. In the next step, you must remove the exhausted toner cartridge from the printer by gently pulling it toward the front side of the main unit, and then upwards. Please avoid shaking the exhausted toner cartridges. Now, you must unpack the new toner cartridge, and then loosen and evenly distribute the toner by shaking the new component at least 15 times horizontally. Once the new toner cartridge is prepared, you must insert it into the corresponding slot of the toner cartridges compartment, and then lock the new cartridge into place by pushing it to the rear side of the printer. Finally, you must close the upper left cover of your Ricoh Aficio CL3500N Color Laser Printer.
