ML-2851ND FUSER ASSEMBLY

The fuser assembly unit installed in your Samsung ML-2851ND Laser Printer is consisted of a heat roller, heat lamp, thermistor, pressure roller and thermostat. The main function of the fuser assembly unit is to fix the toner to the media/paper by heat and pressure. A new fuser assembly unit lasts approx. 50,000 prints. You must replace the installed fuser assembly unit if:

‘’60’’ is displayed – This code indicates an Open Fuser Error, which means that the thermistor of the installed fuser assembly unit is exhausted, damaged, or defective. You must install a new fuser assembly unit.

‘’62’’ – An indication for a Low Heat Error, which means that the installed fuser assembly unit cannot reach the required work temperature. You should try to resolve the issue by turning the power of the laser printer off and then back on. Please install a new fuser assembly unit if the problem persists.

‘’68’’ – This code indicates an Overheat Error. The thermistor or/and the thermostat of the installed fuser assembly unit is/are defective or damaged. You must install a new fuser assembly unit.

Voids are occurring periodically at the top of all black images – The installed fuser assembly unit is exhausted, damaged, or defective. A new fuser assembly unit must be installed.

Ghosting occurs at 2inches to 3 inches intervals – The most common cause for this issue is a damaged or defective thermistor. You must install a new fuser assembly unit.

All LEDs on the control panel are blinking – This is an indication for a fuser hardware error. Please install a new fuser assembly unit.

Initially, you must remove the two screws that secure the Duplex Unit to the Samsung ML-2851ND Laser Printer, and then remove the Duplex Unit. After that, you must open the rear cover, remove the two screws from the top cover, and then detach the top cover from the main unit. Now, you must remove the rear cover from the laser printer, and then remove the rear guide assembly. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove the four screws from the used fuser assembly unit, and detach the three harnesses. Then, you must take the used fuser assembly unit out of the main unit, but please be careful not damage the harnesses. At this stage of the replacement procedure, you must unpack the new fuser assembly unit, insert it firmly into the printer, and then attach the three harnesses. Finally, you must secure the new fuser assembly unit into place with the four screws, and then reinstall all previously removed components by following the current procedure in reverse order.
