Samsung SCX-4300 - Toner Cartridge - 2000 Pages
  OVER 100

Price:  $21.89
Product Description
Toner Cartridges for Samsung SCX-4300 Laser Printer - 2000 Pages

This Toner Cartridge prints 2000 pages with an average 5% page coverage. The amount of pages can vary depending upon the amount of ink printed onto each page. (5% page coverage is a standard Samsung specification)

This product comes with a 6 month Warranty against any defects (including free replacement). We stand behind our products 100%, as these are not manufactured by Samsung.

Why toner? Why not call it ink? Regular ink dries quickly, which is why cartridges for inkjet printers do not last long. Laser Printers use toner, which is ink in the form of powder. A sealed toner cartridge can be stored for 2+ years prior to usage.

When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Samsung SCX-4300 Laser Printer?
The lifespan of the toner cartridge installed in your Samsung SCX-4300 Laser Printer depends upon various, subjective factors, such as the average percentage of page coverage, operating environment, the average number of printed pages per task, printing interval, and the type and size of the used media. You can extend the useful life of the installed toner cartridge, and resp. to reduce cost per page, by selecting the Toner Save Mode. You can enable/disable the Toner Save Mode from the [Graphics] tab of the [Printer Properties] window.
The Samsung SCX-4300 Laser Printer features a precise, built-in system that monitors the condition of all installed consumables constantly. The built-in system displays appropriate warning messages on the LCD screen, in order to notify you when an abnormality has been detected. All warning and error messages that indicate toner cartridge related abnormalities are listed and explained below. Please note that the built-in monitoring system will turn on the red [Status] LED when such abnormality occurs.

‘’Invalid Toner’’ – The installed toner cartridge is either defective/damaged or not intended for use in your Samsung SCX-4300 Laser Printer. You must remove the unsupported toner cartridge, and then install a new toner cartridge by following the instructions given further below.

‘’Install Toner’’ – The built-in monitoring system has not detected the toner cartridge during the initialization procedure. This problem could be caused by a missing, defective, incorrectly installed, or damaged toner cartridge. You should reinstall the toner cartridge, and then test the laser printer. Please install a new toner cartridge if the error message continues to appear.

‘’Toner Empty <> Replace Toner’’ – The remaining toner is not enough. You must install a new toner cartridge to be able to continue printing.

‘’Toner Exhausted <> Replace Toner’’ – The main components of the installed toner cartridge are at the end of their useful life. All print/copy operations are disabled, in order to be avoided/prevented damages to the laser printer. The exhausted toner cartridge must be replaced.

‘’Toner Low’’ – The built-in monitoring system has detected a low toner level. Please note that print quality will be lower during the low toner period. You should install a new toner cartridge soon after the initial appearance of the ‘’Toner Low’’ warning message on the LCD screen.

Please be aware that the built-in monitoring system cannot detect all toner cartridge related abnormalities. For example, you should replace the installed toner cartridge if the print quality is poor. A nearly empty toner cartridge can cause various print quality issues, such as blank printouts, faded printouts, vertical lines, gray background, toner smear, vertical repetitive defects, loose toner, black pages, and horizontal stripes. A new toner cartridge must be installed if any of the listed print quality issues appears. You should always keep a spare toner cartridge for your Samsung SCX-4300 Laser Printer in stock, but please remember to store this consumable component in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and recommendations. Please follow the detailed instructions given below to install a new toner cartridge in your Samsung SCX-4300 Laser Printer.
How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Samsung SCX-4300 Laser Printer
To install a new toner cartridge in your Samsung SCX-4300 Laser Printer, you must make sure that the laser printer is in a Stand-by/Ready mode, and then open its front cover. After that, you must remove the used toner cartridge by grasping its handle and pulling it straight towards you, but please avoid shaking the used consumable component. Now, you must take the new toner cartridge out of the plastic bag, and then shake it seven-eight times from side to side to redistribute the toner. Once the toner is redistributed, you must remove the protective paper from the new toner cartridge, and then align the tabs of the cartridge with the corresponding grooves of the slot. In the next step of the installation, you must slide the new toner cartridge along the guides of the slot until it locks into place. Finally, you must close the front cover of your Samsung SCX-4300 Laser Printer.

Samsung SCX-4300 Printer Review

Overview: This printer is classy and will look perfect in your stylish office. It offers fast printing speeds and produces high quality text and decent graphics. However graphics are of questionable quality. The Samsung SCX-4300 is affordable to maintain and is perfect for you office printing, scanning, and copying.

Pros: The control panel is easy to use that has not backlight, but can easily be read with a light on. The display’s menu system is easy to navigate saving your time and frustration. Under the control panel you will find a small pull-out end stop. At the bottom of the front panel you will find a 250-sheet feed tray. It is capable of printing pages of just text at a clip of 10 pages per minute. Printing pages with text and graphics leaves you with a print speed of around 12 pages per minute. These are not the best speeds, but fast when you consider the price of this printer that sells for under $200. The SCX-4300 is durable and doesn’t jam. Many printers have problems jamming and it is nice to own a printer that almost never jams. Plus paper easily feeds into the machine without being a problem for users. Overall print quality is decent, despite the machine having a maximum resolution of 600 dpi. There are signs of jagged diagonals and curves in text.

Cons: The Samsung SCX-4300 lacks quality when printing grayscale graphics. This is seen most clearly when printing photos. They have a course print matrix. Photos with this printer also have micro-banding and details are weak in darker, shadowed areas. Grayscales are the worst and are terrible. It almost looks like they went through the washing machine. Anyone looking to print graphics should consider other printers on the market.
