SHARP MX-4100N BLACK TONER CARTRIDGE

Your Sharp MX-4100N Color Laser Multifunctional System is equipped with four toner cartridges, and if any of the toner cartridges runs out of toner, then all color printing operations will be disabled/blocked. The ``black and white`` printing will be possible, but only if there is toner in the black toner cartridge. The automatic toner monitoring system will display the following message ``Toner is low``, when any of the toner cartridges is running out of toner. Once a toner cartridge/cartridges is completely exhausted, you will see the following message ``Change the toner cartridge`` on your MX-4100N display. In all of the above situations, you must purchase a new toner cartridge and replace the exhausted/old one.

 You must start the toner cartridge replacement procedure by opening the front cover of your Sharp MX-4100N Color Laser Multifunctional System. Then, you will see all four toner cartridges in the following order (from left to right): Yellow, Magenta, Cyan, and Black. Once you`ve found the exhausted cartridge/cartridges, you must raise its lever and slowly pull it out horizontally toward you. Now, you must prepare the new toner cartridge by unpacking and shaking it horizontally 6-7 times, and then you can remove the protective cover from the cartridge by pulling it in the direction illustrated by the arrow. After that, you must insert the new toner cartridge in the MX-4100N by pushing it horizontally until it clicks into place. Finally, you can close the front cover and test your Sharp MX-4100N Color Laser Multifunctional System.

The IPP function is used to print to the machine over a network. You can use it to print from a remote location. To begin installing the IPP function first clink the [Print Driver]. Then click the [custom installation] key.  Next select [IPP] when you are asked how the printer is connected and click the [Next] button. Now you need to specify the proxy server if you are using one and click [Next].  Then enter the machine’s URL and click [Next]. You should use this format to enter the URL “http://<the machine’s domain name>: 631*1/ipp. You will enter 631 which represents the port number. If the IPP port number has been altered, enter the new port number.

First click the [Printer Driver] button. Next click the [Custom installation] button. Then you will be asked how you want to connect. You need to select [Connected to this computer] and click the next button. Now you will be asked to install the display fonts. Users should not select an answer and click [Next]. Then you want to follow the instructions you see on the screen. First read the message that appears and select [Next]. When you see the installation screen, click [OK]. Now click the [Close] button in the window of step 1. You can then connect the machine to your computer with a USB cable and make sure that you have turned on the power. Next you can start installing the PCL6 printer driver. When you see the “Found New Hardware Wizard” select [install the software automatically] and click the next button. It is important that you follow the instructions you see on the screen. Now the installation is complete.

In order to use this printer on a shared Windows network follow these steps to install the printer driver on the PC-Fax driver. The first step is to click [Print Driver]. Then click the [Custom Installation] button. Now select [Shared Printer] and click [Next]. The next step is to select the printer name. Users want to select the printer name from the list. And then select the [Next] button. When you see the model selection window choose the model name of your machine and click the [Next] button. Then choose the driver you want to install and click the [Next] button. Now select whether or not you want the printer to be your default printer and select [Next]. Now when you see the name of the printer choose the [Next] button. Now you will be asked which display fonts you want to install. Choose the one that you want and hit the [Next] button. You will then see some more on-screen instructions. Read the message that appears and choose [Next]. Installation will start. After installation is completed hit the [OK] button. Then click the [Close] button in the window of step 1.
