When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Sharp MX-C311 Color Laser Multifunctional System?
The Sharp MX-C311 Color Laser Multifunctional System is equipped with four toner cartridges, and each cartridge is limited to a certain number of printed copies, before it is completely exhausted. When any of the installed toner cartridges is running out of toner, the built-in toner monitoring system will warn you with the following message ``[COLOR]CHANGE THE TONER CARTRIDGE``, where [COLOR] will be replaced with the color of the exhausted toner cartridge (e.g. [Y]:YELLOW TONER CARTRIDGE; [M]:MAGENTA TONER CARTRIDGE; etc…). You must replace the exhausted toner cartridge in the above situation. However, if you decide to continue using the system with the nearly empty toner cartridge, you will see the following message ‘’! Change the toner cartridge [COLOR]’’ very soon, and all printing operations will be suspended/blocked. Herein, you must purchase a new toner cartridge and replace the old/exhausted one.
How to replace a Toner Cartridge in the Sharp MX-C311 Color Laser Multifunctional System
Initially, you must open the front cover of your Sharp MX-C311 Color Laser Multifunctional System. Behind the cover, you will see all toner cartridges in the following order (left to right): YELLOW, MAGENTA, CYAN, and BLACK. You must locate the exhausted toner cartridge and pull it out in direction towards you. Now, you can unpack the new toner cartridge and shake it 6-7 times horizontally. After that, you can remove the protective cover from the new toner cartridge and insert it in the same location where the removed old/exhausted toner cartridge was placed. Finally, you must push the new toner cartridge until it is completely inserted, and then you can close the front cover. Please note that your Sharp MX-C311 will automatically ‘’enter’’ in image adjusting mode, when you close the front cover.
How to Change the Exposure and Original Image Type With the Sharp MX-C311 Printer
The following steps will explain how to darken the exposure and set the original image type to “Text/Prtd.Photo’. Start by placing the originals on the glass with the scanned face down. Now find the exposure key on the touch panel. Then read the displayed message and touch [OK]. The following action to take is to hit the [TEXT/Prtd Photo] button. Change from dark to light by pressing the appropriate key. Then hit the [OK] key. The following step is to select the destination and then press the [Color Start] key or the [Black and White Start] key.
How to Alter the Resolution with the Sharp MX-C311 Printer
The resolution can be changed depending on the original type. You will learn how to set the resolution to 300X300dpi which creates a clearer image. Begin by placing the originals on the glass with the side you want to scan face down. Next select settings on the touch panel. First hit the [Resolution] key. Then touch [300X 300dpi] and press the [OK] key. The last step is to press the [Color Start] key or the [Black and White Start] key.
How to Change the File Format with the Sharp MX-C311 Printer
The format for sending scanned images is stored in the printer, but can be altered when sending images. First put the originals on the glass. Then select settings in the panel. First click on the [File Format] key. Next read the displayed message and select the [OK] key. Now change the mode to color/grayscale. The next action to take is to choose settings on the touch panel. Then press the TIFF key. You should hit the high key and then press [OK]. Finally choose the correct destination and press the [Color Start] key. If the printer is set to [Encrypt PDF], you need to enter a password before transmission can begin.
