NOTE: Nearly all printer manufacturers (including Panasonic) base their ink/toner cartridge yields on 5% page coverage.

When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Panasonic PanaFax UF-8000 Fax Machine?

The approximate lifespan of the all-in-one toner cartridge installed in your Panasonic PanaFax UF-8000 Fax Machine is 5,000 pages at 5% coverage. Please note that you can extend the useful life of the installed toner cartridge (up to 6,000 pages) by decreasing the print density. The Panasonic PanaFax UF-8000 Fax Machine will display one of the listed messages if it detects a toner cartridge error or status change.

� [TONER IS RUNNING LOW ] – The toner will run out after approx. 500 prints at 5% page coverage. You should order a new toner cartridge.

� [WARNING!! TONER LOW <> LESS THAN 50 PAGES] – You should replace the installed toner cartridge with a new one in order to avoid interruptions of the printing process.

� [OUT OF TONER ] – The Panasonic PanaFax UF-8000 Fax Machine cannot print or copy because the installed toner cartridge is empty. Please install a new toner cartridge.

� [U16] – The toner cartridge is missing, incorrectly inserted, or defective. You should reinstall the toner cartridge, and then test your Panasonic PanaFax UF-8000 Fax Machine. Please replace the installed toner cartridge if the problem persists.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Panasonic PanaFax UF-8000 Fax Machine

Initially, you must make sure that the Panasonic PanaFax UF-8000 Fax Machine is switched on, and then open the front cover. After that, you must release the used toner cartridge by pulling it slightly up, and then remove the cartridge by pulling it straight towards you. Now, you must remove the packing material from the new toner cartridge, and then shake the cartridge 8-10 times from side to side. In the next step of the installation, you must remove the tape and the protective cover from the new toner cartridge, and then insert the new component into the Panasonic PanaFax UF-8000 Fax Machine.
