The replacement of the carriage belt is a complex procedure, which includes the removal of the following components:
1. Top Cover
2. Center Cover
3. Right End Cover
4. Electronics Module
5. Power Supply Unit
6. Service Station
7. Ink Supply Tubes
8. Carriage Assembly
You can find all removal procedures and the replacement procedure listed (in the correct order of execution) below.
Top Cover
You must switch your HP DesignJet 110 Plus Wide Format InkJet Printer off, and then unplug the power cord. After that, you must open the top cover, and then release its clips. Finally, you must remove the top cover by pulling it away from the main unit.
Center Cover
Once the top cover is removed, you must release the ink supply tubes from the raceway holder, and then remove the raceway holder from the HP DesignJet 110 Plus Wide Format InkJet Printer. Next, you must detach the ink supply tubes from the retaining clips of the center cover, and then remove the six screws that secure the center cover to the main frame. Finally, you must open the printhead door, and then remove the center cover from the main unit.
Right End Cover
You must release the sensor from the right end cover, and then remove the mounting screw from the cover. After that, you must remove the screw from the right side bracket, and then release the clips of the right end cover. Finally, you must remove the right end cover from the HP DesignJet 110 Plus Wide Format InkJet Printer.
Electronics Module
In the first step, you must remove the protective plastic cover from the electronics module, and then unplug all cables from the main PCA. Next, you must remove the screws securing the power supply and the electronics module to the main frame of the printer, and then release the plastic sheet from the trailing cable. After that, you must slide the electronics module together with the power supply unit to the right, and then lift the power supply unit to detach it from the electronics module. Finally, you must pull the electronics module out of the printer.
Power Supply Unit
Once you have removed the electronics module, you must disconnect the motor harness cable, and then remove the fixing screw from the grounding strip. In the next step, you must release the power socket by pressing its clips, and then lift the power supply unit out of the HP DesignJet 110 Plus Wide Format InkJet Printer.
Service Station
Initially, you must detach the reinforcement bracket from the HP DesignJet 110 Plus Wide Format InkJet Printer by removing the two screws, and then unplug the service station cable. After that, you must turn the service station motor clockwise to uncap the carriage assembly, and then slide the carriage assembly to the right. Now, you must detach the encoder strip from its holder, and then remove the screw securing the encoder strip holder to the printer chassis. In the next step, you must remove the encoder strip holder, and then pull the service station out of the printer.
Ink Supply Tubes
You must release the tubes bracket from the ink supply station by pushing its clips inwards, and then detach the trailing cable support from the carriage assembly by removing the mounting screw. After that, you must remove the screw securing the tube crane to the carriage assembly, and then lift the tube crane to release the PH cover. Finally, you must release the ink supply tubes, and then remove them from the HP DesignJet 110 Plus Wide Format InkJet Printer.
Carriage Assembly
You must push the turnaround assembly to the left, and release the belt from the motor. After that, you must detach the trailing cable clip from the main frame by removing the three screws, and then release the trailing cable. Now, you must remove the carriage assembly by sliding it to the right.
Carriage Belt
You must detach the exhausted belt from the bottom of the carriage assembly, and then unpack the replacement component. After that, you must install the new carriage belt and reinstall all previously removed components by executing the listed procedures in reverse order, and then align the printheads.
