The Sharp AL-1651CS Digital Laser Printer is equipped with a built-in system, which is constantly monitoring the toner levels of the toner cartridge. When the toner level becomes too low, the following message ``TONER IS LOW`` will appear on the AL-1651CS` display and the error indicator will light up. You must replace the exhausted toner cartridge, because the printing quality will be gradually reduced. Once the toner cartridge is completely out of toner, you will see the following message ``REPLACE THE TONER CARTRIDGE`` on the display and the error indicator will be blinking. Please note, that all printing operations will be disabled/blocked in this situation.

The AL-1651CS` toner cartridge replacement procedure is relatively easy, and it won`t take you more than 10 minutes. Initially, you must open the multi-bypass tray by slightly pulling it towards you, and then open the side and front covers. After that, you must press the release button of the toner cartridge and slowly pull it out of the Sharp AL-1651CS Digital Laser Copier. Now, you can remove the protective paper from the new toner cartridge, and then shake it horizontally 5-6 times. Once the new toner cartridge is prepared, you can remove its protective cover by pulling it towards you, and then you can insert it into the copier, while pushing down the lock release button. Finally, you can close the front cover, and after that the side cover by pressing it by the projections near the locking button.
