When do I Replace an Ink Cartridge in the Epson Stylus CX7450

An installed ink cartridge should be replaced if:

� It is more than six months old

� An ink cartridge indicator flashes

� An ink cartridge indicator is lit

How to Install an Ink Cartridge in the Epson Stylus CX7450

Initially, you must switch your Epson Stylus CX7450 on, and then raise the scanner unit. After that, you must press the [Stop] button, and then wait until the printhead stops moving. Now, you must press the [Stop] button again, wait until the printhead stops moving, and then raise the ink cartridge cover. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must squeeze the lock release lever and remove the exhausted ink cartridge from the Epson Stylus CX7450. Once you have removed the exhausted ink cartridge, you must shake the new ink cartridge well, and then remove it from the protective bag. Next, you must detach the yellow tape from the new ink cartridge, and then insert the new component into the printhead. After that, you must push the new ink cartridge down until it locks into place, and then close the ink cartridge cover. Finally, you must close the scanner unit, and then press the [Stop] button.
