When do I Replace an Ink Cartridge in the Lexmark X5470 Printer

How to Install an Ink Cartridge in the Lexmark X5470 Printer

You must switch your Lexmark X5470 Printer on, and then open the upper unit of the machine. After that, you must push down the lever that is located in front of the exhausted ink cartridge, and then raise the corresponding lid. Now, you must remove the exhausted ink cartridge from the carrier, and then remove the protective tape from the replacement ink cartridge. Please do not touch the contact area or the metal nozzles of the new ink cartridge. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must insert the new ink cartridge into the corresponding slot of the carrier, and then push the lid down until it snaps into place. Finally, you must lower the upper unit of your Lexmark X5470 Printer, load paper into the input tray, and then press [OK] to align the installed ink cartridges.

The Lexmark X5470 uses three different types of toner cartridges that include a black cartridge, a color cartridge, and a photo color cartridges. The only drawback is that cartridges for this model are expensive.

This unit can print, scan, copy, and even fax. There is a 10 page automatic document feeder for scanning, copying, and faxing. The flatbed scanner will allow you to print on larger materials. On the front panel there are one-touch buttons that allow you to choose to print color copies or black copies.

Overall, the Lexmark X5470 is perfect for home users not looking to spend a lot of money on a printer. However its features are rather limited.

Cons:
